A new Constellation in the works?

So, I was taking a look around on Google Patents, and noticed that this was applied for back in 2019: https://patents.google.com/patent/U...nee:(Omega+SA)+country:US+Watch+case&sort=new

Sure looks familiar, right?

Just to make sure we don't get too excited, the methods described in the patent seem to have already been used for the PM 321 Speedmasters, as well as the Aqua Terra small seconds. Omega could have just used this as a mock-up to avoid giving away products in the pipeline. Not every patent gets used, and there's no guarantee that we'll see anything like this in the future. However, given that this year is the 70th anniversary of the Constellation line, it would make sense for Omega to show us something fantastic. An Onyx dial pie pan? Or silver perimeter with 'émail' center? Count me in.

Globemaster already has a pie pan dial, so this could be a different process for making that, so not necessarily anything new in terms of product...

Perhaps, but at least personally I feel that the Globemaster's dial is somewhat flat. This multi-part construction could bring more depth to the dial, which is part of what made the originals so striking. It also opens up the possibility for materials other than silvered brass. Would a ceramic pie pan dial not look pretty stunning?
