It’s apparently a place of bully and not about watches. If that’s the case be that as it may.

What memories did seeing this watch bring back?
Did someone in your childhood have one, or did you have this brochure when you were growing up?
It is a very "different" design for me and personally I struggle to see how it fits in a design progression. In that respect I find it a watch that definitely stands out but not one that I desire myself.
What draws you to this watch @ShoopaChrono ? Do you think it is one you would wear often? Or just something that you would enjoy owning as part of your broad and impressive collection?

It’s not about bullying.
It’s about communication.
As a global forum, we have new members who write in their own language and they are asked to write in English.

You have an evident passion for watches - as do we all - but how can we engage in a conversation with you when we can’t understand anything you are saying?
(And yes it is incumbent on you to make yourself understood)

Being a ‘rebel in Rome’ is all very well but if you are speaking Swahili no-one will know or care.

I actually do hope you stick around but if you do - do please try to make yourself understood.

No you didn’t you wanted to point out about how I am not about the poat I made, the watch itself. So I disregarded your question and I was right, you are being vulgar and calling me names, trolling my post.

Nice but What does CM mean - chronometer? It’s a Chronograph.
What’s the “down triangle” refer to?

As you can see, I said “nice watch” and asked to clarify what your acronyms meant as I wasn’t sure. You responded by ignoring half of my question and saying the acronym means “whatever works” for me.

I may be wrong but that suggests to me you expected some kick back on your acronyms and were ready and waiting with your defensive responses. Otherwise why not just clarify what they mean, regardless as to whether others agree?

Well, when I first saw it@the OB, in the book, I didn’t realize then why I was drawn to it or vaguely remembered, or did I even see it before… but it dawned on me days later, it was a watch that my Father had owned@one point. and I was telling my wife about it at the store, “why am I liking this… I think I saw this before…” any how I’ve bought t before and since procured some watches that resemble this, and again didn’t know this… there was a similar designed watch think it was a Samsung ‘Kappa’?? branded watch in the 90’s and One more recent purchase, a Citizen Orca, really odd shaped diver but I love it. Anyhow, is why I’m drawn to it I guess…

It is a very different than the Precessors and Evolved ones since. But I think It was quiet popular at the time, it went on sale for a while I think.
I like the uniqueness, it’s very clean and smooth, seems Oothis world… maybe it came to me as I was developing palettes for things, dunno but I like it and like I said would like to own one one day. This exact configuration.
Do you think it is one you would wear often? Or just something that you would enjoy owning as part of your broad and impressive collection?
Yes, yes, I would love to have one of these in mu collection. Like I always tell my wife, “my collection is complete” which is a total bs and she knows it, there’s always something else that comes along that makes my SOMC incomplete.

That is set of great questions, that’s is related to the post. See above pls.

Hm, I may have been traumatized by some trolling before this post. And still in the take my stance mode. I have changed the tone. Apologies.

Appreciate the compliment on the watch that I like.
I will read your questions and understand it better and….

So that was that. I understand what you’re saying but I am who I am and who I am talks that way. There is no way in hell anyone can change that. We’re all individuals. Don’t dictate or tell someone not to do what they don’t want. I don’t freakn know how long I will be on this aite. But as long as I am, I will be who I am, fairly, will not go into your post thread and tell you how to address yourself.

If I have to school someone not to tell someone not to be, how to talk, I will always do it, always. It is bullying, telling someone how to speak, communicate.

If you do not understand me, move on, I won’t force you to. And no, it is not up to me to explain myself.
It is not incumbent upon me to do anything. I hold no office here, running for election. It is up to the person who’s reading my post and if they don’t understand, ask, but if I detect any kind of ridicule or just point out the way I talk or that question isn’t really what it’s about, you will be ignored or dealt equally. On the other hand if I see that I misinterpreted something, I will deal with it.

And don’t tell me what to do.

Very strong and valid reasons. Enjoy your search for good one. Happy hunting.
I think a couple of members here might have them. Maybe not chronographs?
Not sure of the Omega line name to search for them though.

Even when I was trying to help and politely advise you, I think this says everything anyone needs to know about you.

You'll be very pleased to know that I shall avoid your gobbledygook posts in future as life really is too short and I hope that you find others, like @Emeister, who are willing to look past your self-entitled egotistical personality and talk watches with you.

Props to @Emeister 😉

Hope to own one someday, scoping out to get the exact one, Vintage CMaster2tone, down triangle Chrono, NOT the side triangle Chrono! Was@an OB and looking thru an Obook… brought back memories…

For me, the Polaris line brings up memories of TRON from the early 80s.

Props to @Emeister 😉
Thanks mate 👍👊
I'm finding that being nice doesn't come naturally.
I keep trying to be funny but the written word / internet / language barriers and my own sense of humour often make it look like sarcasm at best.
I'm working on it, but I have to do A LOT of rewrites and self editing 😉

I do genuinely get excited about other peoples passions and enjoy heading off down new or half remembered rabbit holes.
Thought I'd found the perfect strap solution for a new guy the other day but I don't think he's come back. Maybe he did, was happy with my suggestion and moved on with life.
Appreciation is always welcome though, even though it shouldn't be sought. Thanks.

I'm a well seasoned ex-military vet, ex-shipyard worker and a grumpy old fucker with a short fuse for idiocy.
My day to day speech and feelings are heavily peppered with expletives and descriptions that would shock "normal" people.
Thankfully I control my manner and speech to the company or occasion. Be it having lunch with my Darlin' and her friends, or at the pub with some hardened old workmates.,

However, when posting on the forum, I temper my fuckin' speech (most of the time) so that what I want to say isn't obscured by diversional, divisional or confusing language.

The plainer and more simple the written word, the easier it is for the total forum audience (consisting of many non-English speakers) to interpret, understand and appreciate.

I find your new wave/trendy/hip-hop/buzzword (I really don't know what cultural niche you fit into) posts to be confusing, meaningless and rather idiotic.

Be who you are and be what you be, but maybe you could find another forum where your intellect and forms of expression would be better appreciated.

Some people need bullying. Or schooling as it is also known.
