Looking for a suitable case for my Omega Cal. 1002 - case co

Hi everyone,

I recently acquired an Omega Calibre 1002 movement together with the original dial, hands and Omega crown.

I am now looking for a suitable original Omega case to complete the watch.

My preference would be:

• stainless steel
• approximately 35–36 mm
• classic vintage design
• preferably suitable for a black leather strap

The watch does not necessarily have to be a Constellation.

The main question is mechanical compatibility.

I have found several cases originally fitted with Cal. 1002, but they are quite difficult to find. I have therefore also started looking at cases originally used with the related 1000/1001/1010/1011/1012 calibres.

For example, I have found an Omega Ref. 166.0206 / 366.0842, originally fitted with Cal. 1010/1012. The case is approximately 35 mm and comes with a movement retaining ring.

I also found parts information listing Cal. 1000, 1001, 1002, 1011, 1012, 1020, 1021, 1022 and 1030 together with several case references, including 166.0206 / 366.0842.

My questions are:

1. Which Omega case references are known to accept a Cal. 1002?
2. Can a Cal. 1002 be installed in a case originally made for Cal. 1010/1012 using the correct movement ring?
3. Does anyone know the correct movement ring/reference for a 166.0206 / 366.0842?
4. Are there other 35–36 mm stainless-steel Omega cases that would be suitable for my Cal. 1002?
5. Are there any specific case references I should search for?

The serial number of my Cal. 1002 is approximately 32 million.

I have attached photos of the movement, dial and hands.

Any advice from someone with experience fitting these movements into different cases would be greatly appreciated.
