Thankyou for your interest. I'm pretty sure the, pre service, sub dial hands were original to the watch but the hour, minute & chrono hands were incorrect service replacements that my Dad had fitted many years ago.

They were possibly fitted along with the 36 tooth crown and 1171/633 bracelet between in the mid 1970's. When I collected the watch all of the hands had been replaced with new hands and aged to match the plots. The 24 tooth Crown is a vintage original from STS's stock of original vintage parts.I found a little bag in the red Omega pouch. It contains all 6 hands plus the old crown that was removed.

Congratulations on the fantastic end result. I might suggest that you store the old hands in a foam lined plastic container. A flimsy ziplock doesn't protect it against any potential rough handling.

When I took my Speedmaster to STS in March we also took my wife's gold Beuche Girod which had a badly damaged bracelet. Simon brought out a brochure of Milanese bracelets for my wife to choose from. The end result is really excellent and the watch now looks amazing. I'm sure you will be very pleased with yours.

Nice one @SouthernScot! Be nice to see some photos of your wife's watch. Those Bueche Girod bracelets are beautifully decorative.

Happy to oblige, I don't recall seeing many ladies watches on the forum. This watch was actually bought by me about 30 years ago, (as opposed to my own watches, none of which I bought although I do have 60th anniversary Speedmaster on order). I hope my photos show the excellent work carried out by the STS goldsmith in producing such a good looking bracelet which is a very close match to the original. I also enclose a photo of my wife's De Ville just to show Omega runs in the family!

Hello @Interstellar . My information contained a small error so I'm just posting a correction to your question about the replacement hands from STS: They replaced the hour, minute and chrono hands with new 'aged to match lume' hands. The original sub dial hands were correct so they were retained. The original pushers have also been retained along with the crystal. The original Dot over 90 bezel (that had some how rotated) was cleaned and correctly repositioned. The circular gasket was also replaced and the old one returned with the watch.

Thanks for updating Jonathan. I am in the same situation as i have an incorrect Chrono hand fitted to my speedy. I'm in the midst of sourcing for a period correct one but nice to know that i still have options if I send in to STS when the time is right if i am unable to find it in the wild.
