74ST....worth getting an extract?

Evening all. I am very lucky to have taken possession of a 74 ST in excellent condition (for its age) that has been spared the watchmakers polishing wheel. What I’m wondering is the value of requesting an extract for this 3918xxxx serial. It won’t really have any effect other than just satisfying my curiosity of delivery location / production date correct?

I think it could have been a few years in that immediate range. Apologies for no photo earlier....and yes, lucky is an understatement 😀

There is no answer to your question that you haven’t come up with yourself. If you want to know the production date and delivery location buy an extract. If it is not important there is no need to probably 😀 I am glad I bought one as my Speedy turned out to be from my birthyear but Otherwise I don’t use it

Ilovemyspeedmaster.com predicts sometime in 1976 depending on the rest of your serial. That being said the site said mine would be October 1991 and the extract said it was July 1991. So it’s not 100% accurate. I liked knowing the delivery country of mine. It’s also nice to have in case they discountinue this service down the road

The extract for my -76 (serial 3939xxx) also had the tidbit that the watch had come on a Corfam strap... Otherwise production date and delivery location is what you get! Honestly I think the service is overpriced for what it is, unless your watch is worth five figures or more.
