Yes, the pin must be seated be in the hole on each end, but I think it should also be centered as much as possible so there is no chance the pin could work itself out of the "short" side, if that is even possible.

So is the micro adjustment not enough to compensate for the slight variations in your wrist size?
I wish it had one or 2 more mm of adjustment like my P.O. but then the clasp would be even bigger.......still, it's a great feature.

Finally got mine!

My first Speedmaster...hell my first Omega!

Always wanted a Speedy but never found one that felt "right" on my wrist. Saw this and ordered from my local AD immediately...figured I'd take the chance and could flip it if it didn't feel right once delivered.

Glad I did.

I'm smitten, seriously loving this one, it's a forever watch.

What are the speedmasters selling for on the used market? Are they outstripping the new cost? It's hard to find data online. Not many are available.

There are at least a half dozen on watchrecon.com right now.

All are hovering slightly over MSRP.

I'm looking for sold prices - not so much listed prices.

The ebay sales at action have been on the RRP , lots asking £1k over but I doubt it'll be a flip for profit watch unless you get lucky

There was one sold here a week or two ago, forget what the ask was but I think it was also maybe $100 or so above MSRP

Looks really good on that particular strap. Mind my asking what strap that is? Thanks!

Well, I'm exactly in the same situation. I reserved it as soon as it was announced at Basel, with significant deposit, at my Paris OB, and I'm still waiting.

I know that the OB have no control on when Omega factory delivers their orders, but I know they have served some other customers who ordered in June. No doubt that if they were looking after the full price instead of a fraction of it, they would have given me a higher priority. Obviously they have no cash flow incentive to call me before all their other customers are served.

Could have been a lesson for the next time I buy a new Omega Watch, but I am not sure there will be a next time. I will go back to pre 1950 ones for my collection and other more reliable brands for the new ones. Too bad because I was seriously tempted by both the trilogy and the non LE Raimasters. Anyway, if I still want them, it will probably be quicker and cheaper to look for a second hand one...

For the trilogy speed, I haven't cancelled my reservation for the moment because I like the Watch and still want it. However if nothing changes soon, I will probably forget about a new one and consider buying a used one, I will have to wait a little bit more (I'm used to now!) but I will get it for less than the RRP.

Thanks!

It's from Gunny and is called the Egypt. Including another pic and a link below:

I've also ordered two additional straps from Europelli and Erme Leatherworks for this watch. I'm even more excited for these and will post pics once they arrive.

If you screw down without the pin being properly seated the link will be permanently bent. May be able to straighten it out with tools but would inspect them very carefully. Dont ask how I know... No way can the pin slide far enough to wiggle out if all is in correctly.
