Hey All. I thought since we are getting closer to the launch of the 60th Anniversary '57 Speedmaster we should have an OFFICIAL post specifically for this model. As for me, I've had one on order since March 23rd at the Tyson's Corner, Virginia Omega Boutique. Looking forward to seeing the watch in person.

BTW, what exactly does it mean that this thread is "OFFICIAL"? Mainly asking because there are already a couple of threads about the anniversary watches, including one specific to the Speedmaster. Is this to contain only official info that comes from Omega?

 

Ha! Good question, BlackTalon. Nothing 'official' about this thread. Just trying to create one Post specifically for this model. As you mentioned, there are three other posts related to all three watches in the Trilogy Collection. Just trying to make it more specific to the Speedy.

 

@frazierspa the Tyson's store is where I am going to be picking up my Speedy Tuesday. Small world, where do you live in relation to the boutique? You ever do any GTG? I know it must have been hard choosing between the three.

Small world is right, semper. I live Warrenton, about an hour west of Tyson's. A GTG would be great. Would love to see your Speedy Tuesday! Please let me know when you pick it up. On another note, the Tyson's Omega Boutique is having an 60th Anniversary of the Speedmaster event on May 24th at 7:00. Attached is the invite. Let me know if you can make it!

Sadly enough I will be traveling during that time. I am in Williamsburg so a GTG would be nice.

your photo of the Railmaster in that one really makes it pop for some reason. Haven't been a fan of that piece until that photo. Have to look at the other two when I go get my 60th Speedy

 

I will be at the event at the boutique, I am very excited to see it as well, and I am hoping I will have my Mitsukoshi dial mod done by then.
