I didn't get the plastic shipping wrap like others did as well. The dealer told me that they get too many watches to keep them all in their storage cabinets with the plastic wrap. So they just throw it away. Don't you just hate it when others are getting better keep sakes. Also, my watch came with a tan coloured Nato strap and black leather band. All the deliveries I have seen so far are grey Nato strap and tan leather strap. Did they get mine wrong? Did anyone else get this combo? Was it mixed up with a Seamaster or Railmaster?

I think they made a mistake in the box and they gave you the straps of a seamaster or railmaster,

In case someone wants to see it against the previous daytona.... The domed crystal really stands out against the flat sapphire....

Nope - I ordered this one: https://shop.bulangandsons.com/watch-straps/two-piece-straps/hazel-brown-leather-watch-strap.html

I noticed that it's a little shorter (12+7cm) than the others so decided to try it out. I have a 7 inch wrist and I've got it on the second hole. It's a little snug but I expect it to stretch a little.
I guess our definitions of "shorter" are different. 😁 I was thinking along the lines of 105 or 110 x 65 or 70 mm.

Thank you for the kind response.

My Omega dealer here in Canada knows nothing about it. I was wondering if there are still copies available somewhere in the USA. Yes, I do realize it is in digital format on the Internet at Fratellowatches.

You could try Omega Boutiques but I suspect their supplies are long gone. There were three ways, I think, to get a Speedy Tuesday magazine originally.

1) From an Omega Boutique
2) Having a Watchtime subscription on record back in May. ST mags were sent out to subscribers of record back in May or June.
3) Be on the ST watch waiting list and not have received your watch yet. Emails were sent promising a copy of the magazine to ease the pain of waiting.

However, I believe all of these copies have been distributed a long time ago.

I would check with an AD or friend who may have received one from their Watchtime subscription and see if they are willing to give theirs up. I saw a copy on the table of magazines at my AD where I ordered my 60th Speedy from long before the watches started coming out. I would have asked my AD if I could have it if I had not gotten one any other way. Otherwise, I think you will have check Ebay and pay an exorbitant amount. I believe I saw one seller there asking for 50 euros.

I got mine from an OB after I put my name in before they had received any copies. They held a copy out for me even though I had not ordered my 60th Speedy from them. I also received a second copy from Omega after I got the conciliatory email even though I was not on the ST watch list. My son has that copy.

So, after rejecting the initial one, and then again not taking one I was offered in London recently, I finally calmed down and took #2461 on 9 Dec. I have to say that the case, dial and bracelet are perfect, and the only thing that doesn't seem right is the size of the clasp (too big). From my experience, these are much easier to get than a Daytona now, and I don't understand the premiums in the market now?

Price of Daytonas at the moment are not real, I have tracked many old and new ceramic models which although are advertised at high prices don't seem to be selling.............sit on your hands if you want one.

Yes, I agree, but fortunately for me, I already have a white faced 116520 and a black faced 116500.

Definitely a mix up, it should be tan leather and grey nato straps. I got my watch in the plastic box or case what ever you want to call it. They shouldnt be throwing it away without your permission.
