They allowed me to pick my favorite number

It’s not possible for them to guarantee the number, but if you do get it let us know!

Was worried about the faux patina, but having received mine, was pleasantly surprised at how it looks a lot better in person and on the wrist. Think they pulled it off really nicely with the blend of old and new.

I don't want to call it faux, but more of an intentional styling choice. The watch would look odd with white lume.

Question relating to the 57 and Speedmaster Professionals in general: I work at a computer most of the day and have to wear carpal tunnel wristguards. This has never affected me with wearing smaller watches ~(38mm) etc, but I am concerned with a speedmaster professional that these guards may wear on the bezel. Should this be a major concern?

FYI I don't plan on buying an super rare Speedies, probably an 861/1861 from the 70's, 80's, 90's -- Hopefully one of the more affordable models.

Congrats Jeff! If I recall, you're in CT? Hopefully, this means Omega will be sending mine to the Boston area soon! After seeing one last Friday at the OB in NYC, I'm getting more and more anxious:

My '57 Trilogy Speedmaster has finally arrived! The initial wrist shot before sizing:

The initial shot after sizing and setting the proper time:

I was anxious about the size of the clasp. But, I must say, it's not a concern at all:

First wrist shot in natural lighting:

The drive home:

In this shot, if you look closely, the embedded Omega logo on the crystal is approximately 260 degrees instead of true north:

Overall, I couldn't be more please with my latest acquisition. At times, it was excruciatingly torturous seeing all these photos online during the past few months. There was an intense mixture of excitement and anxiety having not seen this piece in the flesh. Of course, Omega’s lack of communication didn’t help. The late Tom Petty sang, “The waiting is the hardest part.” My cover with an Omega twist would be - “Not knowing is the hardest part!”

HAGWE! I know I will!

A little rant

The other day I was at a watch store and I mentioned my Speedy was about 3 minutes fast after a week. They said oh let’s demagnetize it. I stupidly let them take the watch, and when I got it back there was a light scratch on the side of the case. WTF?!! Seriously, people are careless and I should never have let it out of sight, even at a watch store!

Now I feel like getting rid of it, I can’t stand little scratches

Well, now it’s battle scarred, you can now not worry about it anymore.
