Congrats, it's a great watch. Did they offer you 20% off the retail price? 😉 I think they were pissed that someone posted publicly on here that they were offered 20% off a 60th anniversary Seamaster 😁 They offered me the discount when I insisted but couldn't take payment over the phone and didn't want to accept a bank transfer, visa payment online or paypal, come on it's 2017! I think they refused the discount to others after that.
Why on earth did they offer a 20% discount? That’s nuts on this watch. They offer 10% if you sign up for their newsletter but that offer doesn’t apply to Omega, Tag, Breitling, Bremont but would apply to Tudor oddly enough! I paid full retail and was happy to. If i’d had the means I would have ordered all 3 and sold 2. Have you seen what some are being sold for on the grey market?

The 20% was on the Seamaster but yes I've been following what they have been listed for on chrono24 and they are selling!

The 57 Seamaster is a great looking watch too, someone really lucked out there. I nearly pulled the trigger on the Seamaster last month thinking I may have missed the boat on the Speedy but thankfully my patience held and I managed to get the piece that I really wanted. Still surprised EJ are selling all three 60th Anniversary versions online!

I know. All 3 are. The Speedy was too when I sent my enquiry about future availability. Couldn’t believe it when I got notified that they had 3 available. My heart was pounding and I literally couldn’t complete my order fast enough. I’ll need to go to my AD to get the bracelet sized before posting wrist shots.

Hi guys,
Quick odd question - there is a a piece of documentation that is provided with the Speedmaster (could be for all three), its a white page with Speedmaster written on it and mentions the limited edition number (xxxx / 3557). Is this the actual LE number relating to the watch as well? I mean, is it the same number as engraved on the case back?
Yes it is.

DJ - r u an non U.K. Resident? If u r I can only believe that the boutique wanted to give u 20% vat relief because u r a non U.K./EU resident.

Otherwise UK boutiques are just not discounting Speedys or SM300s to that level. No one else has seen this discount to my knowledge - and believe me I would be happy to be wrong ;-). What happened to you was maybe down to naive sales staff - and the sale would not have gone through once management were involved?

I think someone went to the same boutique and the manager completely blanked the idea of a discount.

Yes, one screw was missing when the bracelet fell apart. The other screw on the opposite side of the link was firm in place.

WHY did Omega design a bracelet with two screws, one on each side of the bracelet links? One would excpect that Omega wanted to add extra security: if you lose one screw, the second screw should still hold the bracelet together and save the watch.

But once its clear that the bracelet can fall apart when losing only one single screw - like in my case - then this 2-screw solution is very tricky: by using TWO screws - one on each side of the link - the probability of losing a screw and loosing the watch is now doubled.
How would you remove the pin actually holding the links together with a light friction fit if there was only one screw?

I do not know. I found the pin on the floor (but not the missing screw).

Note that I adore this watch, and I would immediately buy it again. But for the moment I have a bracelet trust issue until Omega has an explanation.

Rolex, AP, PP and almost all major brands have the same 2-screw system on their bracelets as pinholes are obsolete. Yours weren't tightened enough by the representative when she adjusted the bracelet for your wrist. I've lost a screw on my AT when I made the adjustments myself but was fortunate that the spring bar didn't fall off when I discovered the missing screw. Just make sure the the screws are tight (but not too tight as to damage the screw itself) and enjoy your watch. Cheers!

I'm an English guy living in Paris. They would have given me the 20% discount in the shop but wouldn't reserve the watch for me. I didn't want to go there for them to tell me that someone had just bought it so I left it.

Inspired by other members that had already put their Sp on a racing strap I also ordered one. I just put it on today and they complement each other perfectly!
The colour of the strap is almost identical to the oem omega that came with the watch, but this one looks much better imho.

Looks great, Daval! Who supplied the strap? Link, please! Oh, would you mind sharing a photo of the watch and strap flat?
Cheers

Your wish is my command...

It is the bulang & sons racing lumberjack: https://shop.bulangandsons.com/watch-straps/racing-lumberjack-leather-watch-strap.html

I was torn between the black and brown racing straps, but the brown just adds a little bit more to the vintage sports look of the watch

And this will give you a better idea:

Finally getting a chance to post. After a little over a week of ownership, I have nothing to add that hasn't already been said. Awesome watch and gorgeous. No. 1,263!

Congrats When are the stickers coming off? I’m still building up to removing mine

The sticker on the crystal came off earlier today but the one on the caseback is still on.
