Does anyone know if there is an Omega clasp available from Ofrei or Cousins that could substitute for the bulky one that comes installed?

Having now had and worn this watch for a few weeks, my observations are:
1) the watch is very well built and looks very good in the flesh
2) size - while from lug to lug it may measure the same as the moonwatch, it optically seems smaller due to the smaller dial size. This is similar to my experience with other watches, most notably Panerai Radiomirs that look a lot bigger due to the large dial size overall.
3) bracelet - the bracelet is very well built in my opinion but the buckle is such a dropped ball. I love the micro-adjuster but would gladly give that up for a properly proportioned buckle. I have been wearing it on the NATO strap and really like it.
4) buying experience - I purchased from the Chicago OB and had a great experience. They presented the watch with such excitement and spent time going through everything with me, including sizing, etc. they were also more than accommodating in exchanging the leather strap that came with it for a short length (when it comes in). A red travel case was thrown in too.

All-in-all I am very happy with the watch and think omega hit a home run with this one. So much so that my also newly acquired Nautilus hasn’t gotten much wrist time lately.

Anyone have any trust issues with the bracelet? The pins only seem to go in less than 1mm on each side and it seems like if there is any stress on the bracelet pulling outward, it'll pop open the first chance it gets and fail...
I wore my watch only 1 hour. When I arrived home from the Omega boutique and wanted to take off my new watch, the bracelet came off. One screw was missing, and I could not find it anymore.
The OB sent the whole watch back to OMEGA. They are now studying the issue.
Make sure all screws on your bracelet are really tight, maybe apply some Loctite glue.

And the weird part is, the 311.... (long ref no.) Speedy has Loctite on the threads of the screws from the factory. When I removed the screws to adjust, I noticed through a loupe that none of the screws had any of the typical white crusty residue on the threads.

Inexcusable at this price point and wait time.

Sorry to hear this. Was the OB associate "careless" when he/she sized your bracelet? Or did Omega send you a defective watch? Regardless, it's inexcusable as others have stated!😡

This is concerning. Any chance the OB contacted Omega directly about the issue? After months, or years of use, it could become a bigger issue. In your case it was only an hour...

Why didn't you keep the watch, the straps and the box and have the bracelet sent for change?

There is no issue. Only one possibility: screw wasn't tightened enough during sizing and fell off.

I was present when the representative removed 2 links and tightened the screws again. She was very careful and had definitely done this many times before. The screws are tiny and very short.

The OB contacted Omega, and Omega wanted the complete watch back for examination. I found this very professional.

Was a screw missing when the bracelet fell apart? If it was, then the screw was either not tight enough or is missing the loctite which wasn't present on the factory. No other culprit, really.

Yes, one screw was missing when the bracelet fell apart. The other screw on the opposite side of the link was firm in place.

WHY did Omega design a bracelet with two screws, one on each side of the bracelet links? One would excpect that Omega wanted to add extra security: if you lose one screw, the second screw should still hold the bracelet together and save the watch.

But once its clear that the bracelet can fall apart when losing only one single screw - like in my case - then this 2-screw solution is very tricky: by using TWO screws - one on each side of the link - the probability of losing a screw and loosing the watch is now doubled.

Hmm. I don't want to jinx it either. Does it start with a 1 and end with a 7? 😀 I asked for 2017!
1957 would be cool. I’m 0351 and just thankful to have been able to secure one of these watches. Can’t bring myself to remove the stickers yet

Very envious, ordered mine in March and still no sign in southern U.K.! Still I have an invite from my AD to a Chopard evening on Thursday so I'll be able to have an 'off topic' chat then!
I lucked out here in UK (Aberdeen) Emailed Ernest Jones 10 days ago asking about availability, received email the next day saying that although they couldn’t be reserved 3 were available in stock and available to order online. I placed my order immediately and watch arrived next day. Hope yours arrives soon. It’ll be worth the wait.

Congrats, it's a great watch. Did they offer you 20% off the retail price? 😉 I think they were pissed that someone posted publicly on here that they were offered 20% off a 60th anniversary Seamaster 😁 They offered me the discount when I insisted but couldn't take payment over the phone and didn't want to accept a bank transfer, visa payment online or paypal, come on it's 2017! I think they refused the discount to others after that.
