My Speedy 57 just arrived 😁 It's a time machine piece. Now I know what it must have felt like to strap on those original, now iconic, watches of the 50's and 60's for the first time and marvel at the perfection. 👍
Time capsule*

It's already patina'd!

Guess some people are either too lazy to do research or take things as given

Over the weekend I was told you could put down a deposit and would be guaranteed one from the next batch in February/March, but it is possible that they have since sold out.
Sold Out completely as of Saturday of last week.

By next March, it's a 61st anniversary model. If true, that's some poor timing on Omega's part.

60th on a vintage flat link, solves the thick clasp problem [emoji106]

Looks great but you didn't show the clasp 😉 What is the reference number of the bracelet?

#436. Awesome watch. Well worth the wait. It is a scratch magnet though but no worries as I bought it to wear.

Couple more 1 week impressions;

Accuracy- For not having any kind of cert. this watch is incredible. It gains 1 sec/day crown up & looses 1 sec/day crown down. I have been able to keep it dead nuts on for a week. I sure hope it stays this way... Very impressive.

Lume- This is the only gripe I have with the watch. If you charge it up with say a LED flashlight it looks great. I does not however do a great job of "normal" light collecting and is very hard to read once it gets dark.

Strap- I have an 8 in. wrist and the leather strap is too small. I really like the looks of it on leather but will have to find a "long" version in 19mm which does not seem to be easy.

6 bar- Does anyone here with more knowledge think the fact that they added 1 bar over the rest of the manual wind speedy's make it is safe to swim with this watch?

Thx in advance,

Jim

Anyone have any trust issues with the bracelet? The pins only seem to go in less than 1mm on each side and it seems like if there is any stress on the bracelet pulling outward, it'll pop open the first chance it gets and fail...

I’d noticed that too. If you don’t get the pin seated correctly you also risk this....look closely.

Not good, I'm really not a fan of this bracelet.

You must be wrong Sir. We, Omega, did an extensive high resolution 3D scan of the original 2915 in order to re-create with the utmost precision the case of this replica!
And this is why we charge you 7k for a simple 1861 Speed.

😝😝😝

(still no news from the Paris OB despite being number 2 or so on the list.. 😵‍💫)
