Next to the 002. The dial is a little more grey and the lume almost the same shade of cream. Not too fond of the bracelet, the clasp is way too thick. The omega nato I had on for the evening started to get a little floppy this morning, so Jan's shell with holes will do till I fond another 19mm grey nato.

The OB also had a SM 300 anniversary available, was tempting but I did not like the sapphire crystal and loose bezel. 9b383e1edde8d34c0530fff3eed69c18.jpg

Great this just ruined my Sunday
I'm going to be optimistic based on all of the other comments and photos here and make my own judgment when I get mine.

Random question/s: I just received my 60th speedy and am super excited to have it The watch is gorgeous and I can't wait to officially wear it this Saturday on my wedding day. But when I took it to the OB to get sized I noticed a small scratches on the lugs and a small one on the bezel; not deep at all. Definitely not done by the OB as I noticed it before any work was done but not by me either as it's the first time I ever held it. Does it matter enough to say something and see if they can fix it or should I just relax and know that it was going to happen sometime in the future. Also is there anyway to fix it myself?

Just relax. It'll become part of the watch. You'll get over it. 😉

For a start, I wouldn't wear it for the first time on my wedding day. At some point, it will turn obvious that you're not looking at all at the bride. Worse, attendees will notice that you keep looking at your watch, as if you could not wait for the damn ceremony to end!

Hmmm... Should I sell my ST to get this instead? Really tough decision.

I would not sell the ST at this point. That is also a great Speedy. I have my 60th paid for and am patiently waiting for it to arrive.

I am not sure if there will be any "extra stock" at the OB's or AD's with the 60th as most (if not all) have already been reserved.

A few posts in this thread already have the "flippers" commanding a premium for the Anniversary Speedy on the secondary market.

Just my two cents.

A collective Congratulations! to all who have received or have yet to receive their 60th Anniv. Speedmaster.

I finally saw one for myself at our local Botique, as it had just arrived for a pre-paid customer. It is a real gem, absolutely. A 60th Anniv. Seamaster came in on the same day for another pre-paid customer. And according to the Botique staff, that's how they've been coming in: One-by-One.

Buy the 60th, compare it to the ST, and then flip the one less desirable to you. Don't flip the ST without securing the 60th in your hands first.

Good advice. Problem is getting enough funds to buy the 60th... And knowing me... I might end up keeping both!

Dudes! Finally got the call and picked up my 60th ‘57 Speedy last night from the Tyson’s Corner, VA OB. Diego, my OB representative, made it a great luxury watch buying experience. The complimentary bottle of champagne to help celebrate the occasion was icing on the cake. I’ll post more photos after my new B&S straps arrive. As to my initial impression, I love the watch and plan to keep it. Well worth the wait. Note, the original red vintage-style box is in transit. I was given the wood box as a gift.

It's here. My OB received it yesterday, and I was there shortly thereafter to get it. Nothing like scotch and a watch to celebrate.
