Hello guys,

Excuse my ignorance and that I'm not willing to browse through all 36 pages of this thread.

One simple question, is this Speedmaster starting to get a rarity nowadays? Just looking for some justification for the incredibly high prices (starting from 8k euro) I've seen on Chrono24.

Thanks a lot!

Hi, no, the 60th Anniversary Speedmaster is part of a limited edition trilogy of watches which has just been released (or, at least, starting to ship to customers 😗). So it's not that it's "becoming a rarity" - it's only just now starting to find it's way onto people's wrists. The reason for the high prices on C24 is people who have got theirs and are looking for a quick few $1000s profit. Which is why a lot them ordered them in the first place. 🤬

No, the 3 LE have the etching. On the railmaster and seamaster, the Omega logo is perfectly aligned. I saw 2 photos of the speedmaster, where the logo is not aligned at all and wanted to know if this is because they are presentation models and the effectives watches delivered to customers.
No. I know the whole trilogy have the etching. But outside of these 3, I was under the impression that only the Speedy Pro with the hesalite had it. It's not normally on a sapphire.

Just got a call from the OB. Speedy is apparently in. Ended up buying a Sub LV and lost interest in the Speedy in July. Should I just flip it? Should I sell my 3570.50 and rock the 57 60th? Tough call. This must be how my wife feels every morning when she has to pick a pair of shoes for the day. Feels bad man.

These look so good. Question for owners, especially those that have vintage speedys as well - is the dial a slightly different shade/color or texture than older matte dials? A lot of the photos I've seen render the dial on the 60th to be slightly more gray. @ChicagoFrog 's pic is good one where the 2998 appears a bit darker / more black? I love it either way, just curious.

Any comments by new owners on the bracelet?

I haven't seen this watch in person yet, but I'm meh about the super flat sizing and finish of the braclet in the photos.

Has anyone had delivery of the Speedy in the UK yet?
See the post from @Meanjohnbrown yesterday on the other thread, it would seem that deliveries have started, in London at least.

I see the red wallet and the instruction manual, but I don't see the limited edition booklet. Is it in there somewhere?

Well observed, they're apparently being delivered separately to store next week so it will be posted out to me. Seems a little bizarre, maybe another contributing factor to The delay in getting these out. The outer protective card box with the order number, reference, colour details etc. is dated 5/5/2017 so that's been sat somewhere for nearly 5 months.
