My only regret is that it'll mean my vintage pieces (and especially other Speedmasters) will get far, far less wrist time. And no, that's not a joke. I had to force myself not to wear the 60th today, and I can actually see it killing my desire to wear some of my more niche watches. It's THAT good.

heh, at least it is a good problem to have 😀
i'll be in Chicago in a couple of weeks - my 60th hasn't arrived yet, so I am happy to borrow yours for the weekend so you can wear your vintage pieces 😎

I'm 100% sure I'm starting to be a "one-watch" kind of guy thanks to this Speedmaster. I've already sold/in the process of selling almost all the watches I have. We'll see how long this will last for, but right now I'm still hovering on cloud 9 with this watch. It is indeed THAT good.

For those of you on the fence, jump onto the Trilogy side before it's too late.

Just been 2 days but do not see regretting this purchase at all. I think I wouldnt need any other watch between this '57 Speedmaster and the Seamaster.
Except maybe a vintage dress watch for those super formal occasions. And a sub. Also one of those Ed Whites. Wait what was I saying?👎

I keep going back and forth on my order. My Speedmaster hasn’t arrived yet but from all the pictures I’ve seen, the lug to lug height looks very long. I’m used to smaller watches with my sub being my biggest. I sold my black bay because it was too big. I’m most comfortable with my 36mm Explorer and I like the reduced size Speedmaster. The 38.6mm is intriguing but the lug to lug length looks like it’s the same as the professional (the straight lugs make it look even longer).

Interesting comparison to the Speedy Pro here, I dont think it will wear much smaller if you find the regular Speedy outside your comfort zone. I think the size difference is mainly the loss of crown gaurds. Still at least you can always buy it and not lose money if you decide if isn't for you and move it on.

Just got home with my Speedmaster in St. Louis. Thanks to Omega for releasing this special group of watches.

Question: Is the Omega logo on the plexy well aligned?
It is well aligned on the Seamaster's and Railmaster's saphire crystals but I do not know for the speedmaster.

I'm not sure if the Speedy is suppose to be, but both the Railmaster and Seamaster are better aligned from what I've seen.

Are the SM / RM 60th LEs the only sapphire models with the etching? I thought it was only hesalite that had it. 😕

Hello guys,

Excuse my ignorance and that I'm not willing to browse through all 36 pages of this thread.

One simple question, is this Speedmaster starting to get a rarity nowadays? Just looking for some justification for the incredibly high prices (starting from 8k euro) I've seen on Chrono24.

Thanks a lot!

No, the 3 LE have the etching. On the railmaster and seamaster, the Omega logo is perfectly aligned. I saw 2 photos of the speedmaster, where the logo is not aligned at all and wanted to know if this is because they are presentation models and the effectives watches delivered to customers.
