Just went to pick up my speedy this morning. I cannot believe that I ever had any doubts about buying and wearing this watch. Now that i have put it on, I am totally in love with it. I am so glad that I made that reservation when I had the opportunity.

Really happy to see all of these positive reactions. Something about the watch, and I cant put my finger on what, gives it a cheap (for lack of a better term) vibe to me. Does anyone have this feeling from handling it in the metal?

What? No by all means. Even the bracelet, about the original one I read it was flimsy, is rock solid with a solid clasp as well with the latest micro regulation.

I totally understand your remark. I too had similar doubts as I also found that it did look a little cheapish in certain pictures that are on the net. However, once you put it on, it has exactly the opposite vibe (but hey, I might be a little biased as I am still in the honeymoon phase 😉 )

It certainly does not feel like a cheap watch. I find it very classy looking. Even my wife (who was never impressed by the pictures and who has no real interest in watches) finds it a very classy and beautiful piece.

I had a feeling similar to when I first strapped on a 114060 Submariner. This watch feels tight and solid. It's the most "premium" feeling Omega watch I've ever owned.

Anyone who has an issue with this watch just has an axe to grind. It's a nearly flawless execution of the brand's most iconic original watch ever.

For comparison (the reissue next to a Rodania Geometer and 2998-3 Speedy):

How's the lume look for others? Mine is not so strong when compared to my Speedy Pro moonwatch.

Is the lume supposed to be blue or green??? Looks almost blue in this picture
It’s neither. It’s more like black (after a full night in the darkness).

Turning to very faint green after a short exposure to artificial light.

Everything more obvious and it has been hit by intense light just prior to the photo (strong sunlight, directly under an LED lamp etc)

Hi guys,
Quick odd question - there is a a piece of documentation that is provided with the Speedmaster (could be for all three), its a white page with Speedmaster written on it and mentions the limited edition number (xxxx / 3557). Is this the actual LE number relating to the watch as well? I mean, is it the same number as engraved on the case back?

What do you mean "as well"? It's the LE number of the watch.
