Are all three watches the same price in Canada?

Ahh..yes that would make sense since they are the same price everywhere else aren't they?

It seems like Canadian high prices about exactly offset British low ones! Earlier in this thread, people were pointing out the huge discount for USD buyers if one purchases in Britain - if I recall, it was almost $2000, thanks to the exchange rate.

No. The Railmaster is $6,800 USD, the Seamaster is $7,000 USD, and of course, the Speedmaster is $7,250 USD.

Oh, what I wouldn't give for layman's terms!

The blnr and 116610lv are 10200 cad + tax and if your lucky you can get 10% off (have to be lucky but possible). So with the speedy 57 trilogy being 10350cad all in it works about to be a similar price. Especially if you consider that lightly used blnr and hulk go for 10k flat in Canada. And with these watches you can be assured you will never lose a $ in resale. Just my 2 cents. I will wait to see how the speedy trilogy market settled as I Really really do not expect these watches to command a premium once they start hitting stores. They are nice but can anyone remember the last time a 3500le +500 did that well after it has been on the market for a year? I think that they will be available at or slightly below retail within 1 year for sure.

One will see, but I believe that the trilogy will definitely command a premium once they hit the second hand market, at least the speedmaster. It is not simply a limited edition. For many, it is THE reedition they have been waiting for years now (same size, same look). For most vintage watch fans, this is the only opportunity to wear a ck2915. It is also the only opportunity to wear a ck2913 as you would have done 60 years ago. The prices may look high but they are negligible when you compare them with the very sames watches of the end of the 50s (a nice example of a ck2915 would fetch now... 180k usd? 20k usd for a rail or a seamaster in relatively good shape?) So, no, I disagree.

If my AD actually receives their 60th Speedy order, then I hope you are wrong. If they don't, then I hope you are right. 😁 I like the Rolex Submariners and GMTs , but just not for me personally even though they hold their value better than Omegas. If I don't get the 60th, then I will be happy purchasing a regular Speedy Pro Moonwatch.

I was told today in Canada that I could still get a speedmaster trilogy watch. However the price in Canada is $10,350 with tax and shipping included. I am sorry but this watch is not worth that amount of money to me. They really overdid it with the Canadian pricing. You convert the price to USD and then have to add more $$. Wow.
You mention the 57 speedmaster in Canada is $10,350 with tax and shipping included -

what is the base price - before taxes and shipping?

Anyone watched the movement of the Spectre LE after it was released? Did it ever drop below retail?

Did they fabricate 7,007 of them too? That one is a special case because the demand is driven by Bond aficionados as much as watch collectors. Still, if they made double the number of those as Trilogy Speedmasters, I bet this re-release will hold value at the very least. Not sure that will be the case with the Railmaster I ordered, but I want it to wear and not resell so I'm at peace with it!

That was 7007 pieces. There’s probably nothing to worry about the re release.

I also have my name on 1 possibly 2 speedy 60th
I can't wait
So, what's the game plan there? Wear one and keep one to flip? Or a reservation and a back up?

Well I figured I could wear one and keep the other for safe keeping or use it as a trade down the road.
I hear they are pretty much all sold out anyway so that might be a good thing.
When is the official date ?

I heard from my OB that next week is the arrival date. I'm not sure if they meant all three models or just SM's and RM's like in Europe! I admire your strategy, by the way...it seems like those Speedmasters are fully subscribed in certain corners of the world. Haven't heard anything about USA availability in a while. I kinda wish I had ordered one, but...

The Speedmaster will hold its value. The SM/RM, Im not sure. I called 3 OB and one AD in the US and could order either watch at all 4 locations. As I mentioned earlier, the UK price for the SM, at least, was $2k less than the USD price. There is a seller from Turkey on chrono24 selling both the RM and SM under US retail (and no tax), immediate delivery. I cant speak to the integrity of the seller but he has been selling on there since 2012 and has >500 watches for sale. A quick google of the name and it appears legit. Regardless, I had a deposit down on a SM and pulled it bc of all of the above. I want one but feel that Ill be able to snag one slightly used in 6 months for a nice discount. Given the high US price and the fact there are 3557+500 of these out there, I think it is going to be tough for these to hold their US MSRP....at least that is what I'm hoping! 🙁

I spoke to someone at the Chicago OB today and he indicated they have a single manufacturing company they own to make speedy cases and because of all the editions they are still waiting for the 60th speedy cases to be manufactured. This same OB told me last week they still expected them this month so lots of varying info.

He said they were hoping for September. Not sure what's true or not but thought I would pass along.

Anyone else heard anything?
