Newbie question...

As I wade through Beads of Rice bracelets on eBay and the forums, I keep seeing “1036” or “1502” engraved on the clasps.

What do these numbers mean / represent? Do they match up to a specific watch serial number?

No they don't. I assume that just like the 1506 is older than the 1035 that the 1502 is also older than the 1036 but it's just speculation. I've seen some BoR with a date stamp on the inside of the clasp. I had a 1037 (9-row) that dated to 1971

Seems like the BOR bracelet has more model numbers for it than any other vintage bracelet. I suppose they each have slight variations (from different time periods) that I have yet to learn.
I wish someone would give us a BOR schooling!

I'm not sure they have different variations... I think as they changed the speedy bracelets they updated the number on the BoR to be next to it sequentially.

Yes! I am also interested in a BOR educational posting.

We all know there are the ones with 3 center "beads" and some with 5.
I recently found my 3-beaded 8220 on eBay and it had the #11 endlinks. Seems to fit my 166.010 well...

This has got me wondering about those end links. I have the same watch, the same bracelet, but my end links are marked 511.

Sure wish a BoR expert would enlighten us, because I quite like these bracelets on the vintage Seamasters.

Have anyone requested lately to Omega current pricing on the BOR bracelet? I’m curious on current pricing from them for a 166.010 / 168.024 🍿

hi there, Mine is exactly the same, 1502 with a Nº12. is seems that the other references have changes on attaching link to the case, on the underside, for the access to the pin. That is what I have seen so far. I got mine for my 18th birthday in 1968, and it still works fine.
Th onlu problem is mi wrist got thicker and I need a couple of BoR for it and cant find any.
Anyone has info on where to get them?

That is an interesting question. Have you tried maximum adjustment using the clasp? That might be enough for it to fit until you figure out where/how to add links.

Usually some on eBay, just have to look and be patient.
