Here is a picture I took that I wanted to share with you of the 3861 inside the Apollo 11 50th anniversary.

Wish I could see it in the steel version. It won’t be finished the same but what a shot.

I would like to see the same thing.. because Omega generally uses a different caliber number when finish differs but it's naot happening with Apollo 11 50th steel and full gold versions.

Looks very neat, thanks for sharing!

Is the 3861 also flight qualified by NASA?

I can’t see some crazy finishing here. Pretty industrial.

Somewhat industrial, but pleasently uniform none the less;)
I hope it's as good as we would expect:)
I think it's certainly got all the features required for it to be the best ever. But the Speedy Pro as a watch format or whole, sort of transcends the movement specs.
The question is. Is the Speedy Pro with a 3861 going to be truly worth the expected premium:thumbsdown:
An applied Omega symbol or a Ceramic DON bezel insert along with more Water resistance might push it across the line though.:)

The standard 1861 looks pretty much the same (except for the balance and escapement of course)
