Apollo 11 is 3861 case, as Snoopy.
Maybe I am misunderstanding. Are you saying that the original Apollo 11 bracelet and endlinks (which are on a 3961 speedy) won’t fit the new 3861 speedy?

Are y’all conflating the “3861” movement with the case of the new Speedmaster Pro that contains the 3861 movement?

He’s saying the new Speedmaster Pro case’s springbar holes are differently placed than the holes in the last model Speedmaster’s case.

the Apollo 11 and Snoopy have the prior model case, regardless of containing the 3861 movement, no?

That is correct. The holes in the case for the 3861 are higher than in the 1861 so positioning will not work with the springbars and end links.

I don’t believe the Apollo 11 has the same case as the prior model (1861). The assumption many of us made was that the 3861 speedies would all have the same case, and thus the bracelet from the Apollo 11 would fit the new speedy pro.

apparently that is wrong, but apparently the Apollo 11 bracelet didn’t fit the snoopy and it turns out it does so let’s see.

Yea that does look strange in the pic but you can see that the bracelet was correctly installed based on the pics:

Assume it was a strange optical illusion.

Yeah thanks. After a second look it’s likely the way light is hitting the “twist” of the top of the lug. ie the brushed part.

Anyhow, cheers.

Thanks for sharing the detailed pics! I like how this new bracelet looks and I wanted to buy it separately until I've read the price... 800 Euros? Really? I was expecting around 500 maybe and 800 seems really high price.

OB rep info on 3861 Bracelet purchase @ $680 (as of Jan 2021)

So, ~560 Euros if the intel and cross-pond pricing holds true

The flatlink 50th was $710 US, in NL the AD is asking € 680 so my guess would be € 650 for the 3861.

Because you think it will be more expensive in Euro than USD (does that happen commonly?), or because you think the OB rep ordering the part and quoting me a price was incorrect?

Either are plausible

It's all relative, as Omega is asking 300€ for the cheapest leather strap with pin buckle...

You are forgetting tax. Sales tax is never quoted in the US but is routinely included in Europe. I would expect $680 to translate to more like €700-710 assuming 1:1 pricing.

That seems a lot of tax 🙁

Its between 20-22% depending on the country. I got my EUR to USD wrong so its bad but not quite as bad. In essence it works out as 1:1 $:€ when the tax is factored in. And there is no easy or legal way round it

So I believe that 020STZ013434 is the part # for one of the new bracelets. Just not sure if it’s hesalite or sapphire version. It’s $930 in Canada.

if this tapered cool bracelet is freely available from omega, will this seriously affect the high price of 1039, 1171, 1506, etc?🙁👎

It’s hard to imagine prices dropping on vintage bracelets, as I think most of us will still prefer period correct bracelets on our watches. The 3861 bracelet is a winner though, in spite of its only two micro-adjust holes.

As you also have a sm300m would the new speedie bracelet fit that? Always on the look out for an option for my SM300m
