I know this may be difficult to say but, is that generally something to be expected, if I'm jumping around celebrating? It was a good goal, but I wasn't exactly going into orbit.

Some time ago three or four different people had this issue, but I don't recall there being any resolution. I think some even took the watch to Omega and from what I recall, were told there was nothing wrong.
The minute counter is held in place by a small spring when the chronograph is running. There's a chance this spring could be adjusted to hold the counter in place with more force, but there's a balance to be had between too little and too much force. If the spring is adjusted too aggressively, it could cause the entire watch to stop when the minute counter tries to flip...
