People had 8” wrists in the 1930’s too.

This is a page from the 1935 Hamilton catalog. The three watches on top right and far left are 28mm diameter. They are really small.

But as you can see, men of the time had no problem with them. That trend continued until after WWII.

Nice looking watch, and, many of the above posts have offered great thoughts. I agree, get a larger strap like the bund. You must remember when wristwatches were initially worn most were converted pocket watches... so big. Then much smaller sizes became popular, until they weren't. It's all about fashion... in the 1930s a man with an 8 inch wrist wouldn't have thought twice about wearing a 30mm or smaller watch, that was the norm. Today, big watches are the fad, most everybody wants a BIG wristwatch, hell, the case sizes today range from 36mm to 54mm and Panerai even put out a whopping 60mm case, the Egiziano Pam 341 a reproduction of the Egyptian navy watch. It's all what YOU thinks looks good, but, since, you asked, I don't think it looks too small.

Now doesn't the Pam 341 look too big on this guy's wrist?

I have bigger and heavier watches I rarely if ever wear. My 34/35mm watches are virtually weightless and discreet (as in both comfortable and unostentatious) although I am prepared to forgo a multitude of subdials and bezels with numbers on.

I'd much rather wear a 30mm vintage watch than a 40mm new watch.

Wear what makes you happy. It’s about your enjoyment not what ‘we’ think. However, it looks good to me!

Here's my 33mm watch. I wear it with the 12mm strap, like it's supposed to be worn. If it was good enough for military officers back in WW I, then I'm cool with it.

The slender strap really makes the head appear larger. One would think a chunkier strap would bulk up the watch, but it's actually the opposite effect.
Lovely wire lug- like my watchmaker told me in one breath when handing back a Longines trench watch to me "beautiful watch don't get this thing anywhere near water"

Can’t help you I’m afraid, I made it myself from two straps I already had.

If you are Uncle Henry, no. If you are a member here, yes it is too small. 😁

I don't know who uncle henry is but uncle wuza has a wrist measurement of 185mm / ~7.30 inches.

I would say healthy average arm 😀

Absolutely. Per the caseback, London assayed, George Stockwell imported, and 1915 hallmark.

And serviced in 1928. 😉
