Recently bought this Longines 23m. Still undecided whether it’s too small or if I can pull it off.

Nice watch but probably an idea to wear longer sleeves?

As above, nice watch. Too small is something only you can answer. Everyone has their own tastes and none are wrong. Some people with 6 inch wrists wear a ROO.

I personally think it would look better with a nato given the short sleeves. Under a cuff on leather it would look great and not too small by any means

Try a bund strap

They’re not for everyone, but your watch has the aesthetic to carry it off, and they suit the smaller vintage watches very well

This is a 33mm case, and the bund makes it very wearable

Are you sure it’s not 33mm?

I have a medium sized wrist and wear all my watches more like a bracelet. They fall down beyond the wrist bone but are tight enough not to work their way around to the inner wrist. I personally feel the “bracelet” wear allows you to pull off a smaller watch. My opinion.

Sorry, it’s a 23m movement. The size is indeed 33mm.
I have a big wrist, key is strap Selection....and watch has to have presence...

I love wearing smaller (34mm and under) watches. They just sit more nicely on the wrist, IMO. Rock your sei tacche, it’s a classic.

I think it looks quite nice on you. I wouldn’t wear it daily but would be a very nice addition in a collection.

Imagine a 30mm Hamilton. 😀

You can pull off anything you want to. I once saw a picture of Jerry Lewis in the 60s wearing a watch I swore was a lady's size!

I didn't see anything necessarily wrong with your wrist shot. If you like it, go for it.

I just got this 1953 Pobeda, 33mm after two days in my wrist I don’t see it that small, but I’m thinking in a bund.

Nice bund! where did you get it, if I may ask?

My grandfather was a large and impressive man - over 6 feet tall, with big paws and 8”+ wrists. He flew planes, owned and insurance company, worked on classic cars, fished in the boundary waters and raised a good family. He wore a 33mm Sandoz.

By my logic, his watch wasn’t too small for him, so your watch is not to small for you 👍

I too have a big wrist. I have many smaller wrist watches from the ‘40s and ‘50s which I seldom wear. My preference is for larger watches

Agree with the long sleeves comment. I sometimes marvel at how small some of these look on my arm wearing short sleeves when I catch my reflection, but under long sleeves you don't even notice- in fact, smaller is much more comfortable and doesn't catch on cuffs or look like a growth under a sweater sleeve.

It was custom made by Steveo at steveostraps.com

He’s UK based, but ships worlwide. He has some great ideas, but he’s also amenable to work on your own designs. If I remember correctly, I think the leather on the Sturmanskie is called ‘Old English’

Have a good one, Luke
