I grew up in the first wave of Peanuts madness.

As a kid, I remember discovering paperbacks with his early strips and being delighted. But slowly, as time progressed, Peanuts stuff became a fetish and it was everywhere. Hallmark cards, clothing, stationery, mugs, watches, TV shows etc.

I was out after this hit the charts.

I kick myself every time I see a thread like this as I had a chance to place a deposit online but decided I didn’t like it enough....

So buy first and ask questions later, and look out for snoopy 3.

Haha yes, lesson learned! Can only hope that the Snoopy 3 is as nice as the previous iterations. There’s been mention of gold which I don’t like the idea of.

I do like Snoopy but the asking/selling prices on this model is just ridiculous. It's priced higher than a steel Daytona and AP Royal Oak chronograph.
That’s because the snoopy is a much, much nicer watch than a Daytona...

Don’t worry, you need stories like this to make you a more legitimate collector. Everyone has these stories.

...and to think I had the chance to get one for £9k a few years ago but I wouldn’t part-exchange with my beloved Tudor Black Bay 79220N. Do I regret it?

Yes of course I do damn it!! 🙁🙁
Everyone had the chance to get one at that price there were quite a few up for sale around there when I bought mine. I’ve got an email trail of me turning down a £9k Snoopy at Watchfinder. If only we all had hindsight eh 😁

First post and seems to be a lot of "sour grapes" over missing out on this watch..........denigrating it by calling it a Timex or Goofy. Wonder how you'd feel about it, had you purchased it at Retail and seeing now what it brings on the aftermarket. They sell for more than a modern SS Ceramic Daytona and costs, at the time, nearly $5,000 less!!! Anyway, keep knocking it while the rest of us will just watch the price continue to go up!!

Am I the only one surprised by the appeal of this watch?

No, you’re not. Worst looking Speedy ever released IMO.

Thanks, but no thanks. I will continue buying vintage Constellations. They’re much better looking and WAY less expensive.
