2915-1 Case stamp - crescent moon

I've had two Omega Speedmasters and both have had a crescent moon stamped on the underside case lug - top right. There's a 2915-1 on this forum with the same case stamp. Does anyone know what the crescent moon stamp represents and what references it is on? I'll add an image.

Many thanks

I was also thinking an import mark, although in the past when I saw a crescent I think it was a german import and it had a house with it too, and it wasn't on the lug like that. Interesting.

Do you have more pics of the watch? Any chance you know where it was delivered to?

I don’t know where it was delivered to - I’ve ordered the extract and am waiting for a reply. I’ll post the link below to the forum watch. Also a screen shot of the OmegaForums watch.

The watch you just posted a pic of was delivered to the USA as per the import stamp on the movement.
Ok thanks. The first pic I posted is my watch, which I’m waiting for the extract. I bought it in the US - so probably the same situation. So the crescent moon means it’s a US import and not used for other countries?

No. Jim was referring to the OXG mark on the movement, which is the US import code for Omega.

Most flags with a crescent also have a star, so those aren't right.

But, the flag for Republic of Maldives does not. So... possible?

Ok - thanks. My watch doesn’t have the OXG stamp. Here’s a pic of mine without the stamp. Another question and apologies for my limited knowledge - do all of these types of motifs as stamps on cases represent import countries? Also what era or date period was this common?
Many thanks

Here’s another image. I still haven’t worked it out
🙁

Perhaps more generic pics of your 2915?
