·Haven't all of the 44mm Ceramic and SS co-axial automatic Speedmasters been discontinued? This new release could be the replacement for those. This would make sense since the release date is not on a Tuesday. If my memory stands correct, Tuesday releases are reserved for Professional models.

The DSOTM line is certainly due for an update (and that may very well be announced at the upcoming Jan 26 announcement), but they are readily available in all OBs I have visited in the past weeks and months, and there’s no official message that they are discontinued (yet).

·I’d be surprised is they did a Swiss spring drive after showing a hairspring (spring drive doesn’t have a mechanical escapement, it’s a magnetic brake).
