Sorry for the delay in responding. I don't have a EB in my collection, yet, but I installed the straps on my speedy. Here are the pics.

as you can see, hardware and the end loop of NATO added a lot of bulkiness.
Thanks a lot for the comparison. MN Strap definitely looks better than the NATO. Not sure if you see my picture with the Nick Mankey Hook Strap, the effect looks really similar even MN Strap has one layer of fabric under the case while Hook Strap has none under the case. I need to try it out!

I see quite a few EB that was modded with this bezel. I'm wondering whether it is just replacing the bezel insert, or it has to be the entire bezel? and if just the insert, is this mod reversible?

Would appreciate some insights from anyone that did this mod. Thanks!

I’ve had an insert replaced on my Seamaster GMT, so yes it is possible and reversible. I went from black & sliver to all black - emulating a 2254.

Thanks for the input! I did some research and based on Al's comment above, it seems if I want genuine Omega part, I'll have to get the whole bezel and through a watchmaker with a part account if I want best price. However the problem is, if they have a part account with Omega, they cannot install it on a different watch... At least the local guy I worked with regularly refused to do so.

So my options are either to pay a premium on the open market for a whole Omega bezel, or get an aftermarket bezel insert, and either way I'll have to find a non-Omega certified watchmaker to put it in for me... I'm starting thinking it maybe too much trouble and uncertainties...

I went with an after market insert (because Omega doesn't make what I wanted) and had my go-to watchmaker install it, yes he’s trained on ETA movements but not Omega certified. Any half decent local watchsmith should be able to install an insert for you in just a few minutes.

welcome! I did see your hook strap, it looks similar to MN in the front, but MN uses a elastic fabric and hardware is really top notch. Here is a photo of the hardware.

It's nice! Call me cheap but I think at 50 EUR+ it seems a bit costly. I ordered this one on Amazon, looks like a knockoff but it's less than half the Erika's:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07LGXZKB2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Nick Mankey Hook strap also uses elastic fabric, and it is super comfortable too. I really like the "no fabric under the watch" design. Hardware may not be as nice but very low profile, not necessarily a bad thing. After all, it is $24 vs $56+ of MN. Can't believe I'm promoting them but I'm a happy customer.😀

Ok, I received the knockoff MN strap from Amazon today. Have to admire them for the shippment speed... but after trying it on, I think my vote goes to the Nick Mankey Hook strap...

The MN strap material seems a bit rough, while the Hook strap is softer, more refined looking, and more comfortable. This MN strap is also a bit too long. To fit it on my 6.25 wrist the 2 buckles are both on the side of my wrist. Overall the hardware of the MN strap is still a bit bulky compared to the sleek fit of Hook strap. I think I’ll return it... not sure how much is due to the quality of this knockoff version. Maybe the Erica’s will be better... but again I’m pretty happy with what Nick Mankey can offer at $24... see the comparison pictures:

Some mirror shots for the midsize... I like how the shades of blue change completely in different lighting conditions.

I've learnt a very useful trick to turn the classical NATO strap to a single layer one piece strap:

Modded my NATO strap and now the Mid size SMPc fits even better.

Thanks to @padders, I now have my modded EB with a blue bezel, and the contest is upped a notch... I don’t know what to choose now and am seriously considering keeping both...::facepalm1::

I bought this from a Swatch tech who did the mod himself...I am very happy with it!
This is a selection of pics I have taken, inside or in the sun. Haven't had it long enough to get any spring or summer sun...
That looks cool!

Only thing I’d consider is perhaps fitting a reversed date wheel. White numbers on a black background would look less intrusive.

Well, that’s what makes us individuals I guess. I had a reversed date wheel fitted to one of my Seamaster Chronographs and I loved it. As it is so small I could barely tell the could difference between the blue dial and the black date wheel.

Sorry I binned my original comment along the lines of that I don't link black and blue on the same dial so this now looks confusing I know. Its rather a shame there isn't a date wheel matching the blue dial SMPs out there but for some reason there isn't it seems. I suppose matching the electric blue would be tricky as a lot of the look is in the shine contrast of the waves and those wouldn't be on the wheel presumably.
