The RRP on my Speedmaster 38 when I got it this time 3 years ago was £4100.

Just checked and it’s now gone up to £5200!

£1000 increase in 3 years for the exact same item in plentiful supply is crazy!

    Diver 300M
    April 2019 paid £3000 (RRP £3600)
    Today £5500

By coincidence my household insurance is up so I increased my cover.

I'm feeling better about splurging on the sapphire 3861 last week too.

Though I wonder how much the bracelet is now... I plan to pick one up next month.

Makes the decision whether to upgrade from a 3570.50 a bit easier.

At these prices even more watches will be gathering dust in the display cases.

And... we're now over 10k for the Speedy sapphire in Canada:

    CAD$10,300.00

The hesalite is a snip at 9k before taxes.

Diver 300m on steel now up to CAD$7,600.00 -- last time I did this exercise in 2021 it had reached CAD 6400.00 -- that was already a significant jump over the CAD 5200.00 I'd bought mine for new just previously.

So from 5200.00 to 7600.00 in 3 years or so. In roughly that same period -- actually, over 4 years -- the Tudor BB58 on bracelet has gone up around CAD 470.00.

I guess those Seamasters just cost a whole lot more to make.

I love my Omegas, but this is a very sharp and relentless series of price rises -- and, of course, the various edicts against AD discounting. Undoubtedly they're creating cachet, but I wonder how many customers they're losing by all but abandoning that IMO psychologically important 5k entry point. Maybe folks will just save longer.

I had the opportunity to purchase a new sapphire sandwich (at discount) two weeks ago.
I was super hesitant at first, but I'm really glad I pulled the trigger after seeing this increase.

Looks like 3.5% to 5% increase in the USA, but it's the first adjustment since 2018, so not too bad overall. I remember back in the late-70's, early-80's Rolex were increasing their prices three or more times per year because of inflation, we aren't in those times.

Basic hesalite Speedmaster on bracelet went from US$ 6,400 to $6,600, just 3.1%. Benign. Other countries were more, probably due to exchange rate factors.

OB mentioned a 4% increase come Feb 1st (in the US), which seemed understandable given inflation.

Green Seamaster is $5600US. I don't think that's too much more than before or they haven't updated the US site yet. I just don't remember the price.

I completely understand price rises are necessary but don’t particularly agree on raising the price on items that have been paid for and just not supplied.
I have a deposit down on a 321 and would have been more than happy to pay the final amount and pick it up last week but instead just took another hit to the pocket.
Was told if I don’t like it just get my deposit back. Not the attitude I expected from Omega. Am I still on the list? Absolutely but won’t be racing to get the other Omegas I had in mind for this year.

Speedmaster Canopus on leather is 39,200.00 euros now. Still much cheaper on CH24 for now.
