In general, I am not really a fan of either Steinhart or homage watches. When I saw the Vintage Ocean GMT in a post, however, I was instantly smitten. I received mine on Monday and was pleasantly surprised with how nice it looks and feels in person (especially considering I paid only $480 for it). It's averaging +4 seconds per day, which is definitely a lot better than I had been expecting. Although I won't be adding any more Steinharts or homage watches to my collection, I really, really like this one.

So joining the party late but having bought 5 watches in lockdown all for less than £500 in total here is the latest addition. Did anyone say “Mega Mega Mega Fat Font“ 1991 £160 came with the bracelet and the alarm can be used as a second time zone. Most enjoyment from a purchase in a very long time.

This was considerably below the threshold, as it arrived with the movement broken and the seller refunded the cost of service.

New year, new thread.

I'll kick it off with a 2622-1 from 1951.

Bought it as a companion for a 321 chronograph with full radium numerals I purchased in 2019. The dial has some radium damage but I like the warm yellow tint. The 2622 case is also not that common and it stands sharp with the original crown.

Beautiful piece! The warm yellow tint of the dial goes well with the chocolate brown strap.

Great find! Absolute bargain!

Got this watch during the lockdown. Always wanted an omega constellation pie pan, but they dont come cheap and it is always a challenge to get a quality and authentic vintage watch.

Along the way come this watch. The dial is uniaue with waffle pattern and reflective outer ring, which remind me of some constellation dial as well as UG polerouter.

The applied dial and marker is a bonus too.

Been searching online for similiar leonidas branded watch but cant seem to find. It seems that there are more leonidas with chrono complications, rather than this simple time only setup.

Here is the Thiel, I just got. The look I really like a bit of omega. Should be in my hands in less than a week.

This sexy beast still in a slow boat. My last seiko was stolen in the 90s. I bought my pepsi in Okinawa back in 1982

Love that dial. For whatever reason I find it really hard to like Seiko aesthetics. But I could get on board with this one

I picked out all the parts for this one, bought parts from eBay and Ofrei. Rose gold plated case, Selita top grade SW-220 (ETA 2836 design) and a beaver tail strap. My watchmaker assembled. About $440 all said and done. One of a kind to boot.

A early omega 1920s or so needs love but it runs all there. Much less than 500. Goes with my patria 1900s trench watch.

since the beginning of the year we have snagged plenty during our hunts.

Wait, you got those speedmasters for less than 500 dollars a piece? 😲

The reduced we got for less than $300, i think it was around $225 or $250. The professional missing the pushers was exactly $500.

The reduced all functions work but the thing runs and stops so it needs a service and I will have it done at some point in the future and keep it. The professional we passed on to another tri-state located forum member who already got it fixed up and running well. 👍
