·This is such a beauty, a 1972 Rolex Datejust, reference 1601. This has the lesser seen no lume dial that instead has onyx on the markers and hands. That and the classic datejust pie pan dial = a really stunning combo!
DIAL: Aside from the tiniest bit of edge wear up around the 11 marker, that I could only see in macro, it’s incredibly clean!
CASE: The 36mm case is in great shape. Light wear throughout, as expected, most noticeable on the smooth sides. Great brushing on the lugs, nice and thick too. The white gold bezel is crisp and beautiful as well!
MOVEMENT: The Rolex automatic cal 1570 is working perfectly, was told it was serviced within the last year by the previous owner. Winding and setting well, keeping great time too. And very clean:
BRACELET: I believe this to be the original Rolex jubilee, folded links, correct for the time period, and the 1971 timestamp. Really nice condition, light scratches on the clasp, as expected, but doesn’t look to have been polished, that crown is nice and sharp. Also has below average stretch for it’s age, feels great on the wrist:
Priced at $3899, and that will include fully insured shipping anywhere in the US.
Payment via Venmo, Zelle, or wire.
No returns unless misrepresented and it absolutely will not be. I am a passionate long time watch collector, and I go above and beyond to make sure buyers are treated the way I want to be treated when I’m the buyer. Lots of feedback to show that!
Thanks for checking out this special Datejust, and as always, thanks to OF for the space!
