·For sale is my Birks-signed gold-filled Eterna•Matic 1000 with a charming inscription on the caseback. This watch was awarded in commemoration of an employee's 25 years of service to the Canada Life Assurance Company, and with its signature by Birks, the Canadian jeweler, the watch is as Canadian as the day is long.
I have not serviced the watch in the three and a half years I've had it. The 1488 movement runs and keeps time brilliantly. Eterna is a terrific but perennially underappreciated brand, though it has seemed to gain stature somewhat in recent years. I am selling the watch head-only, $395 plus shipping from Tokyo.
No returns unless grossly misrepresented—please check the photos carefully.
