Hello,

I recently inherited a 1970's Seamaster 168.023 Day-Date with a 'Sparkle Dial' from my grandfather. I like the look of the watch and want to wear it daily but I want to ensure its in proper working order. Does anyone have recommendations for a place to take the watch for a clean / service? I've done some google searching, made a few calls and I'm getting quoted $350 - $450. I'm OK spending this money for a quality service but if I do I'd like to have some solid recommendations from somebody in the Omega / Denver community.

Thank you!

I’m in the UK, so can’t recommend a watchmaker in Denver but I can say that for a simple clean and service, those estimates seem two or three times more than I’d expect to pay over here. Of course, you’ll pay extra for parts and postage.

Give Hyde Park Jewelers a call and see what they have to say about it.

I had a unique repair request for my Rolex Datejust and brought it in to the Hyde Park jewelers in my area, and they said that for something like that they would actually ship my Rolex to their location in Denver so they could perform the service since it was a bit beyond what they could handle locally here in my city.
