Hi all,

I am looking for some help/information with regards to vintage Omega crowns. I have a vintage Omega Seamaster Deville ref 165.020, movement Calibre 552 and serial number confirms 1968. I am wondering if the crown on the watch is correct? It has the Omega logo on it however, looking at other Seamaster Devilles from similar years, the crown is usually flatter and does not protrude as much. If anyone has some more information, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Jeremy

Hi. Yea this is the wrong crown, the original was knurled. However, this may have been a correct service crown at some stage.

Not correct and gold plated Any new crown is going to be plated. You would need to find a 60’s crown that is gold filled/capped to match.

many EBay sellers list NOS crowns, but 99% are older gold plated crowns. Omega hasn’t made any gold filled since the 60’s
