Greetings. New member here and am looking forward to reading up on the forum 馃榾 I came across this 1967 Constellation (based on serial number) and found the dial interesting. I have been scouring the internet for some information but having no luck. I have never seen this variation before. Have any of the enthusiasts here seen this before and/or can share some background? Thanks in advance!

Welcome! 馃榾
What information are you looking for?

I associate the font of the numerals with examples we often see from the UK, especially full numeral dials. Looks nice - very sharp case!

Thank you @MtV! Right now I'm all ears. You sharing that the font is often seen with examples from the UK is a step forward. I had no idea where else to go since I hit a wall in my research. Would you know if this dial variation had a limited production run? Obviously it's not the classic pie pan but I thought it is a stunner. I agree with your sentiment!

Read that this is a caliber 564 with the quick set date feature. Appears to be a strong automatic movement.

I don't, and I doubt there's information on that tbh. I assume there were different dial configurations to chose from, this was simply one of them - nothing particularly special, but attractive regardless.

It's not a "pie pan" dial by the way, but a (flat?) dome dial. The "pie pans" are examples with 12-edged dials, hence the name. (Somehow, a combination of Omega's own terminology "douze pans" (twelve-sided) and an alleged resemblance of a baking pan resulted in the nickname "pie pan").

Looks like a nice, original example. There was another Arabic dial Connie that sold here recently. Not the same reference nor dial, but might be interesting to you nonetheless: https://omegaforums.net/threads/jus...lation-168-004-w-uncommon-arabic-dial.136109/

Thanks @mrbreen! In my opinion, I find it to be a very nice non-pie pan variation of the Constellations. Appreciate the link and yes no doubt interesting. Glad you send it my way. Closest thing I've seen to the picture above and indeed it supports @MtV post that it's likely a UK variation. Almost impossible to keep track of all the different variations Omega offered.

Fair enough. Thank you @MtV for the info. Agreed still attractive. It's special enough to me 馃榾 Glad I came across this forum.

That's right. Not a pie pan. Didn't know it was originally called something different by Omega but "pie pan" is a fitting name.

It's slightly rude to suggest someone to just google a subject, but in this case I'll suggest just that. Here's a search that will undoubtedly give you a LOT of information 馃榾
