Final edit. Turns out it is a 105.001 62.

Edit. Most ironically, I just tried a different Google search query and think I have part of my answer. The items I mentioned below are present on this 1959. Specifically the part of the dial with Swiss Made (no T around Swiss made) and the hands. It appears the rest of the dial is more like the 67 with no 12 and rectangular bullet like hour markers. https://imgur.com/a/fd5uASv.

I have what I believe to be a 1967 seamaster Chrono. The watch belonged to my father and my mother has kept it since he passed. My father was meticulous and would never knowingly purchase a fake. My mother was able to tell me the approx year it was purchased, she said 67 68 and the jeweler who is no longer in business.

I have not opened the back yet. The dial is clearly 67 style from everything I've seen. It appears to have some type of gold package to it, which I haven't seen. The feathers are visible. The one thing that is different is that there are no "T"s to the side of Swiss made at the bottom of the dial.

What's throwing me for a loop is the hands. I have not seen those on 67. They look like 65 hands yet slightly different because there is no pointed end on both sides. I can find no other omega watch with these hands.

I do not know the service history of the watch, aside from the fact that it hasn't been serviced since he passed in 97. The watch works as does Chrono, so I have to think it was at some point serviced. I have a hard time believing that it was damaged somehow and the hands replaced. He had many different watches he wore. Rolex, accutron and a few others that are all confirmed original.

Any thoughts?

Edit. I don't understand why the photos don't appear or the link I added doesn't appear. Here is the URL. https://imgur.com/a/7ulsl1E

Just because your father bought it in 1967-1968 doesn’t mean he bought it new in 1967. It could have also been sitting for years before he bought it. I’m no expert on these, but it looks like a late 50s Ck2907 to me — that would explain the hands and the “Swiss Made” dial. You need to get the back off to see the reference number. If it is a CK2907, it’s is really nice shape. Keep us updated!

Ironically, right after I posted I did another search (I thought I had done every iteration) and found a 1959 with those hands and the Swiss made. You know your stuff! https://imgur.com/a/fd5uASv I'm waiting on the UPS guy to deliver the watch tool lol.

a ball of wadded up duct tape (sticky side out) can work just as well as a tool, and won’t scratch the back. Just need something tacky to get a grip. A watch case opening ball:

is even better. I’ve been using one for years after one of those tools slipped and put a deep scratch in a case back.

I had this on my wrist yesterday at a GTG (a 1959 belonging to @Neyra);
