Good day Folks!

I am sure this had the eye of a few of you here but was curious on your thoughts on this Speedy?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1550562192...Tg209tNSya&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

I mainly thought it too good to be true but it went pretty large at roughly $17,250 which is below the ILoveMySpeedmaster scale at Fair.

My partner inherited this watch 23 years ago on her Father's passing and it has been kept in a safe for good keeping,

She has made the decision to sell the watch for someone else to be the new custodian.

We know it is an extremely valuable watch and have to say on looking up on the internet is one of the nicest one's we could find.

We have set a starting bid of $1000.00 and will let the ebay community decide the final value.

We took the watch to Sydney to LG Humphries and Sons Jewellers to open up the case back as they have the correct tools
and deal in fine watches.

Vintage Omega Speedmaster CK 2998-2 Lolliepop with correct Base 1000 Bezel.

7077 bracelet 1/60 clasp with No.6 end links.

Extremely hard to find in this condition unfortunately there is no original box or papers,

Comes with the Omega Extract from the Archives and an Omega clamshell case.

The watch is keeping perfect time and all chronograph functions work perfectly.

Since her Fathers passing we never serviced the watch and had only come out on a hand full of occasions.

SWISS MADE mark at 6 O'clock.

The case has been polished at some point in its 60 years.

It comes with Original Omega Stainless Steel 7077 Bracelet and No.6 end links.

There are no spare links for the bracelet.

Wrist size 190mm or 7 1/4"

There are no papers or boxes.”

too good to be true
I don't know if a bunch of service parts and a butchered case qualifies for the "too good to be true" category.

I just meant its overall appearance did indeed seem too good to be true. Like new.. which I guess a lot of it was.

sorry didn’t see that one.
Oh, I don't think you need to apologize. I added the link so you could see more ideas/talking points on this watch.

I guess safe to say it hasn’t been in his wife’s safe for 23 years.

I never got the requested picture straight above the dial without any angle and lollipop to zero. To evaluate, if the hand is an Omega hand ( how much and where it covers the Omega logo). Otherwise I would have bid. The parts alone are worth a lot for future restorations and the EoA movement is good to have....
