The case reference number is stamped on the inside of the rear cover. To see it you'll need to remove the rear cover.

Ths is the full reference number inside my rear cover. 14393 1 SC

Hi peter, I've checked the second reference you've posted (561. 14393) but that watch doesn't have two lines at the top
of the bottom
star.. May be this one is a limited edition

http://www.omegawatches.com/spirit/history/vintage-omegas/vintage-watches-database?ref=14366

The early cal. 561 constellations had the same dial printing as the cal. 504 connies which is to say the words "Constellation Calendar" are printed on the bottom half of the dial. The later 561s only had constellation as pictured in the omega database entry. Both dial styles are correct for the 14393 case reference.

Case and dial condition reduce value considerably - perhaps by 50% compared to the watches pictured above.

How much this one could be value?

$400-500 on auction would be my estimate.

Hello all,

Here's my variation. Non date 551 in a 14381 case and cross hair dial from 1960.

I understand the 551 was made in considerably smaller numbers than the 561 is this correct?

I think I prefer the dial without the date. It's a lovely watch but I think it might be heading to the sales forum soon. Decided to concentrate on bumpers and need to free up some spending money!

I don't know though, I have no trouble buying them I just can't bring myself to part with them!

The Omega website doesn't list all the different metal types. Your watch is NOT solid gold.

Does anyone know if a Constellation 561 dial will fit a cal. 504 movement?

Well, the 561 did go inside the 14.393 - but the dial is off a caliber 504, otherwise CALENDAR wouldn't be on it. Wait for more opinions though.

It probably does. Dial feet can be moved or completely removed. We saw a bumper 34x with a full rotor Geneve dial on it once. Even the subdial seconds post lined up correctly.
