1940's Omega watch? Advice needed!

Hello lovely folk!

I bought a watch some time ago off eBay because I loved it, but now I'm considering letting go as I'm simply not wearing it enough to warrant keeping it. This brings me to a conundrum as I do not have any firm information on the little fella, apart from the seller believed him to be a 1941/43 watch. I think I paid around 拢200 for him in 2015, he holds time relatively well but could probably do with a service.

Attached are photos front / back. If anyone could please give me any idea or pointers to the following I would be very grateful!

1. Approx age (does 1940's seem accurate to you?)
2. Model type / series
3. Approx valuation / ballpark figure
4. Any other info you think I should know (you are the experts, after all)

It's plausibly from the 40s, but I can't say I can recall seeing that reference before off the top of my head. Could you please post photos showing any numbers from the movement or inside-caseback clearly. Also, could you please post the diameter of the case.

Hi Dan S. Thanks for your reply! I'm not sure I can get the back off - I've watched a few videos but this appears not to have any indents to slide something in. Perhaps a watch place might be able to... 馃

The diameter is approx 30mm

One factor that will certainly affect the value is the refinished dial.

Don't try to open it if you're not experienced doing so, you can have a professional do it if it's important enough. I was thinking that it might be very small when I didn't recognize the case style. That will hold back the value, but hopefully you can get your money back at least.

Thanks Dan S, I hadn't really noticed and it wasn't really any concern as I bought the watch simply because I liked the way it looked. I can see what you mean on closer inspection. Hey ho, maybe I'll just keep it and try and wear it more often!

Refinished dial, scratchy crystal and 30 mm size is a tough a sell due to size

Personally. Ask 拢225 Take the small profit and get rid of it
