·Hello, I am new to this forum, and Omega watches in general. I have recently won this Omega skeleton watch from 1902 on Ebay for $590, and was just wondering if this is the right price for a vintage watch like this. If so, what would be the value of this watch? I am not going to sell it, it just would be nice to know. It used to be a pocket watch, but it was retrofitted into a new case this year. The watch is HUGE! 48mm case diameter, and 13mm thickness.
I have taken it to my watch specialist, and right away he knew it was authentic and was amazed by the amount of time it must have taken to engrave the art decor on this watch. The only thing that he was not impressed with were the hands, he said they were terrible and did not even fit properly, and put in some beautiful blue steel hands. The watch runs flawlessly considering the age.
Thank you in advance!
