168.017 bracelet and crown questions

I have what I believe is a real 168.017 c case constellation purchased off eBay. Date window is missing on the dial but otherwise looks damaged but not a redial to me. 1507 bracelet with 518 end links which is mismatched from what I can tell (1040 bracelet had 518 end links and 1507 had 18 end links but they work together). It came with a replacement crown and non logo outer clasp for the bracelet. I did some research and think I have purchased the right style of crown included in the photos. The non logo clasp works and holds closed when wearing the watch. I found a no. 12 outer clasp that looks right. However, the clasp does not click shut to hold the watch together when on the wrist. Can anyone tell me if the inner and outer clasps are right for this bracelet and what is missing? I’m really struggling with finding solid info on what the clasp closing system should look like for this. Thanks!

Yes you have original watch, but it is in terrible condition with irreparable and very unattractive dial damage and extensively scratched and worn case. I wouldnt put a penny into it, in fact your best bet is to try to return it if possible.
The crown is gold capped not correct for SS case.

These are findable in good condition, they are fairly common. look at this thread for many examples.

Thanks for the link I’ll do some more digging in that thread. The crown is in fact all silver I should have looked at the photos closer I have a yellow wall behind where I took the picture and it’s making it look gold. I was trying to confirm if the crown shape was right. It was not a returnable eBay sale so I have it now. I want to wear it. I get the perspective though. Appreciate the advice

I’ve searched the forum already and not had luck finding any info on how the clasp actually latches on the 1507 and 1040 bracelets. Is it like the aftermarket clasp that it came with where there are hooks on the end of the outer clasp that hook over where the bracelet connects to the inner clasp or is it like some that I have seen where the inner clasps have friction fit tabs that lock together?

Ok I see that and the crown part number says ST
I think it is the correct replacement crown for this reference.

discussion of the 1507 and 1040 bracelets here. The clasp mechanism should be similar for both with little tabs on end that snap over rounded edge- sometimes they are bent and need to be slightly adjusted.

If memory serves either 518 or 18 end links are correct. I'd be interested what you paid, because I think what you've purchased is a really cool bracelet. I personally love the look of these. If I were you I'd now be looking for a C case Connie to put it on.

Shoot. That means even though I found one that looks like the right logo and brushed/polished combo it doesn’t have those tabs at all 🙁 but at least if I can find one of those I should be able to wear it.

I paid $850 for the whole watch. If you look at the photos in the OP I've got the whole C case connie watch. The dial is damaged and missing the date window border. But I agree it's the right bracelet and end links it's just the clasp that didn't have the logo and I was trying to make that whole so it is a legit full reference watch. The outer clasp I found that has the omega logo and the right polished sides to it doesn't have the tabs on the end as you can see in my last photo so it wasn't the right one 🙁

I was suggesting you should still be on the hunt for a new Connie because this dial has seen a lot of moisture, as evidenced by the bubbles and mold. How's it running?

Ah I see what you mean. Time wise it's running +10 spd according to my weishi dial up. I just took off the caseback and the movement looks ok no real discoloration that I can see. Which is strange to me I feel like you would expect damage on the movement if the dial was damaged unless someone swapped the dial maybe?

Looks like the correct 564 as expected and an early serial number likely 1966. We don't know the amplitude but +10 per day is pretty good for a 60 year old watch, I'd say.
