Hello All, new to the forum, but I have been collecting for a while and I have just purchased by third Omega. I found a very nice 1968 Connie with a C-Case. I was able to track down an English day wheel before pulling the trigger on this one.

I am planning on upgrading to a stainless steel bracelet. I am in no hurry and intend to wait as long as it takes to find the right one. Not finding any 1040 / 518 Brick Bracelets that have any length to them, but I am keeping my eye out. Another one that looks good to me is below. I see the part number on the gold one in the photo as 368.4071. I found a very rough stainless example on eBay without the end links with the incorrect part number 1181 / 215. Can anyone tell me the correct part number for the stainless version of the band below.

I would also welcome any recommendations on any other age appropriate bracelets. If you know any 'off the beaten path' places to look on the web, I would appreciate that as well. I will make a point to post photos of my 1959 Seamaster, and my early seventies Dynamic DeVille as well. Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

Thanks, I found an 1172 that will need a good polish and was able to source end links from Europe. I'll post when it is cleaned up.

I also like more this bracelet vs the brick, it feels more solid. Brick sounds like .... don’t know how to explain but not nice on my opinion

The bricks is incredibly comfortable, like a BOR, but does lack structure so can wiggle around a lot if you like to wear it loose. If one comes your way don’t turn it down, I’m sure you will eventually find another C shaped Connie upon which to fit it....it seems Connie’s are like chips, you can’t have just one.

I received the bracelet today and the end links just left England. I know why the seller had the wrong part number on the bracelet now. It appears that it has the wrong clasp. Someone removed the gold plating from a 1181 clasp and you can still see it around the Omega symbol. Actually the gold around the Omega looks kind of cool. The bracelet is in really nice shape otherwise. IMG_0431.jpg IMG_0432.jpg

TS do you still own the date-wheel from the picture? It is dutch and I am from the Netherlands, so would be interested in owning it.

Does anyone else have a 1040-518 brick bracelet for sale? I would like to add it to my C-shape

    Hi all,
It seems that most of the bricks bracelet are without rivets.
I’ve found this one on eBay, it is from 1968, on a 168.027.

does the bracelet is from the same period? I can’t see the part number on the blurry pictures

Well, that’s not a “bricks” in the traditional sense which is the 1040 bracelet with 517 Endlinks.
This one looks similar to the 1172 with 515 endlinks (would need better pics of the clasp stamping to read it) but this one has additional stripes on the ends to blend with the rivet caps, and pics of other 1172’s I could find don’t appear to have riveted links and endlinks don’t have the stripes. This may be a contracted (by Omega) bracelet which was not uncommon and may have been a pairing depending on country of origin. I personally love the riveted links and that bracelet is awesome!

    Thanks @JwRosenthal.

So nothing suspicious according to you?
Watch is full set, sold in France in 1968.
Seller says it belongs to his uncle who wore it until 1972, then let it in a safe until he get it.
So never been serviced nor polished, still according to him

I would want sharper images of the dial and case as they are all out of focus, but from I can see through the haze- the watch looks good to me.
Bracelets are tough because there were several makers of them on contract with Omega. The stampings tend to vary a bit, but they are geniune Omega bracelets. I haven’t seen this style or clasp- but it doesn’t mean it didn’t exist.

    Thanks @JwRosenthal !
I wasn’t really on the hunt for this, but full set and in good condition... I should receive better pictures soon.
Asking price is 1300€, which is probably few hundred too high, will discuss with the seller

It seems a touch on the high side but if bracelet checks out (paging @Lucasssssss and @X350 XJR can you confirm this is a genuine Omega bracelet possibly paired with C-cases Connie from France?) and pics reveal the dial hasn’t been refinished, and all factory finishes are intact (brushing on the case), then a premium can be justified.

Oh- @Gui13250 - be sure to get an internal measurement on the bracelet at its last hole- if it’s too small, you won’t be able to use it and links are unobtainable.
