Super cool. Thanks for sharing. I have always wondered - how difficult is it to constantly be looking at tiny stuff?

I spend two minutes looking at my watches up close to see the fonts etc (without any lens or anything) and that’s guaranteed headache for the rest of the day…

Keep both eyes open when looking through the loupe; it will help reduce nausea and headaches.

The guy in the kiosk at the mall really seemed to know what he was talking about, he has the professional can of WD40 with the red straw.
Not only that....he cuts keys, mends shoes and he sells phone covers and ciggies too!

I got a free case for the vape I don’t own when he replaced the battery in my Speedmaster.

Archer has done four for me. An old Speedmaster, a Broad Arrow Speedmaster, SM300, and titanium Seamaster chronograph. All run near perfectly.

When i see this i would be happy to send watches to Ontario but we can’t overseas , but showing step by step and way to resolve a situation is very instructive, also it takes time to Archer to do that for every watch, congratulations Archer, now you need to start a new business 😀)) Fast Service in 10 days turndown , when i am in Quebec for a couple of weeks 😀))) but this is unrealistic.

But this is service like we want to see more often

I once had a watchmaker, he made a lot of good photos of the dismantled watch and movement, but he never got the works done..
Now I have a trusted retired watchmaker, I am very happy, fast return, lots of spares..
See att. what I get back, lots of bad photos and a minimal invoice.
I like it.

Hi Konrad,
that looks straight to the point 😀
May I ask in what city he is?

Thanks

Yes, but no answer! Maybe the tax authorities would identify him and take his profit..
And no, he is retired and only works for me as a friend. I am so sorry!
As I am very long in the watch collecting scene, I know some mainly retired specialists for different jobs, brands, dials, engraving, silver cases, ships chronometers and even pendulum clocks... And sometimes I have a part or rare item for them.

I sent a few watches to ChrisN for service before he retired. He also sent lots of detailed information about what he did/ needed to do to my watches.

My watches mean a lot to me, I don't care what a service costs, I just want them to be looked after and serviced properly. Knowing there are people like Archer and ChrisN ( and I am sure many other watchmakers on here) who care about what they are doing makes this hobby of ours sustainable and ensures a lot of watches are still in circulation. The unsung heroes of watch collecting.
