Again a French case but with a better dial.
The lugs seems to be polished and the movement is dirty.
Is here everything legit or should I take my hands off?
Thx in advance! franzjoni

Hi franzjoni

Are you sure it's a French case? I see our mother Helvetia in the case back.

Case seems quite sharp, particularly the bezel. I've seen worse movements and it would be cleaned during a service. The question is if you like the state of the dial, but I would assume the spots are less visible in reality. I'd buy it if the price is right.

Is it normal for the edge of the dial to be so visible?

Well spotted. Something seems to be off here. Hope more knowledgeable members can shed some light.

IMO it isn't a French case : Mother Helvetia as stated before, and also the "key" logo with Nr 4 inside, which clearly is the mark of one of the leading swiss case maker for Omega in the 60s.
Then finally, french cases are known to have over-sized stars, where these ones on "your"" watch are standard size.
Looks pretty fine otherwise ! I would go for it if the price is right (should reflect a obvious cost of service...)
