Hello everyone!
I was never much into Rolex watches. I have many reasons why is so, which we all know.
And probably omegaforum is not the best place to drop a thread like that but I like our community here and I am sure there are very knowledgeable members also in Rolex staff.
My friend called me to ask about Rolex Submariner 116610lv purchase. He's been offered one without box, papers, nothing. Of course price is attractive and that's the reason he thinks about it. I got just few very bad quality pictures from him and no movement pics at all.
First of all, of course my advice is to be super carefull and if it's not possible to look at it closely, open a case, even better compare with the one certainly legit and best show it to qualified expert, let it go.
But at the same time I love those conjectures detective approach so I decided to share it with you and ask to join the game Anyone can see any red flags already with such a pictures?

Have a nice day!

A movement pic showing the inner case would be very helpful

Besides the issue of your pic not looking very hulk like (did you filter out the green šŸ˜€?

Take a look at the Swiss Made on your pic and on a real one. Look at the lineup with the ā€œiā€ in Swiss. Also look at the alignment of the ā€œ=ā€œ sign your pic and the real one. I would not purchase it myself.

True but I think the Kermit had green bezels and black dials while the Hulk has a green bezel and green dial.

If the price is too good to be true, it is probably fake. In addition to the dial issue, the Rolex logo on the clasp looks off to me, as does the magnification.

if your friend wants to buy it, have the seller meet him in a local jeweler that sells used Rolexes (there must be one nearby) and pay them a fee to inspect it. I suspect the seller will balk at this idea, which gives you all the info you need.
