Prices have not yet been raised on Omega website so officially there is no increase yet, if AD is already raising prices he is doing it on his own. There was no general price increase in Nov/Dec 2021, just on a couple of models. Across the board increase seems to be set for Feb 1.

I think it may be country/currency specific , because SMP did go up in December in Canada as pointed out by Scapa, and it is on the Omega website.

The last price increase was in Nov’21, where only the prices for SMP 300P were increased. So now is the turn for the rest of the collection. I won’t be surprised though if they increase the price for SMP 300P again as it’s doing very well.

Say it aint so!

A 10% increase will be positive for Omegas made in last 5-10 years, especially the various limited edition versions like the ST's.

Possible that the Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch (released a year ago) will also get the price increase?

Based on Omega's history?

The price went up on that model last year, but obviously it is also technically a new model

So far it sounds like its an increase on everything. Not just an increase on upcoming models or specific lines.

Spoke with my local Omega Boutique over the weekend as passing (Bluewater). He mentioned 4.8% increase roughly, although said some models will be more some less (average 5% across the board) He also felt models that didn't sell as well and he indicated the 3861 Speedy may not get an increase, thought that seemed odd, but mentioned the 300 SMP is the seller currently.

Interesting...

Maybe the manual-wind nature of the speedy discourages the typical joe from wanting to buy it.

Is that on top of the increase on SMP300 less than 60 days ago?

I saw the new pricelist a few days ago, there will be an increase at the Speedmaster Models: Hesalite about 8%, Saphire about 8,5%. Best time to buy a Speedy if you don‘t have it already…

Even the plain Jane hesalite version is about 27% higher than the previous model, and with generally less discounting. Plus the distinct possibility of the watch crapping out soon after purchase. What a deal.

It is a bit nuts. Here is Canada the 3861 Sapphire on steel is already at CAD 9700.00, while the hesalite is a bargain at 8550.00. Even an increase of 3 - 6% pushes the sapphire into five-figure territory, and the hesalite close to 9k. When I started getting interested in the Speedy only a few years ago it was often described as a strong value - a beautiful if austere watch with a legendary history and excellent case and movement for around 5k. Now, here at least, it’s nearly double that. I would not have bought into new Omega at those prices. I guess others are though, and in droves.

Is it just a price increase for Speedmasters or the entire catalog?
