Congratulations on yet another sublime piece 👍 (Not to mention the return of the DON and the step dial, which makes me think some more interesting things are a brewing in Omega HQ)

Congratulation @Robert-Jan, to your team and everyone at Omega. Such a nice homage with a lot of lovely little features. I got my reservation in seconds after it went live, but what I want to know is: WHO THE HELL GOT NUMBER 1968?

Looks like a matt finish on the DoN bezel? Vintage collectors sigh of relief or missed opportunity?

Congratz are in place to Omega watches & RJ of FratelloWatches
A well-designed #Speedmaster with DoN and applied logo ... IMHO far better than their Apollo 8 LE

Thanks a lot RJ. Great pictures there.

Good to see both ST LE's next to each other.

The "Tachymétre" in bold red sort of spoiled that opportunity to begin with 😁

Is this likely to cost a lot more on grey market?

We must be a few to have thought the same, I tried as well but it was gone. In the end I got 0068. 😁 Still, on omega website the 1967 is the date which appears everywhere. Maybe that was easier to get.

Yes, and it is obvious, why the orange hand has a black stripe. They know what they are doing.

One can't know for sure. If ST2 follows the pattern from its predecessor, the first couple resales will go for well above MSRP, the next few a little less, and the few after that less still. And so on. There is no doubt MANY of the reservations for ST2's are people that intend to resale. Some resellers try to get multiple reservations. Expect a flood of pieces on the resale market, and prices to come down rapidly. Will they go below MSRP? I have no idea.

Wow! Absolutely amazing! I think it’s really tapping into the vintage vein in a very very nice way while still staying modern. The stepped dial was the first thing that really got me.

They automatically refuse people reservations who have the Rolex forums open on their computer at the same time.
