·For sale is an uncommon military style Zenith from approximately 1946/1947. Overall, the watch is in excellent condition for its age.
CASE: Case diameter of approximately 33.5mm with lug to lug distance of 40mm. Given these dimensions, it wears larger than expected on the wrist (see photo). The inner lugs and bezel are still sharp so it may not have been polished in the past. Crown is unmarked and I am unsure if it is original.
DIAL: Beautiful bullseye zone dial. It has taken on a golden yellow patina which appears almost mustard color in low light and lighter yellow in natural light. I have photographed it in several settings for you to see. There is a small, thin scratch on the dial just above the subseconds dial. Radium markers have turned black as has the lume in the hands. 24 hours outer register.
MOVEMENT: Quite uncommon 12-4-P-6 movement which was only produced in 3600 examples between 1945 and 1947. The movement is quite clean. It winds and runs strong without major gain/loss of time in 24 hours. Service history is unknown but it has been running well in my possession. The movement slightly moves within the case when winding.
STRAP: Inexpensive but comfortable light brown suede strap.
Let me know if I have missed something or you would like more photos! For this lovely Zenith I am asking $350 with shipping included in the USA. International shipping at cost. I prefer PayPal friends and family or Venmo.
