Would the OEM ladder bracelet for the 50th Anniversary editions of the A384 work on this 2021 38mm A386 reissue?

I can't seem to find lug width details for both models on Zenith's website.

call Zenith USA if you’re located in the states. They have a ladder bracelet with end links that fits the a386. From what I’ve heard the new chronomaster original bracelet fits too.

another 1/10th second > calling @cvalue13::stirthepot::

yeah, late to this but Zenith has just lost me over these 1/10th watches

it’s a shame, too, because this watch otherwise I’ve been waiting for

Reason for 1/10th second scale head back to the very beginning of industrialization and of assembly line production. It was used to stop production runs.

I’d like to hear more about this, because I’m not buying it: average human reaction time is ~3/10ths of a second, with then a mechanical pusher stroke only adding further error rate

So if you really needed to know anything down to 1/10th of a second, a human operated mechanical watch would hardly tell you anything you needed to know

*shakes fist at sky*

The story goes like this 😁
No one buy this watch nowadays because of the time scale right?

We all carry a phone that accurately tells us the time, switches time zones, etc., too.

But we still (usually?) set our wristwatches time to the relevant time zone, the correct time in that zone, and value accuracy, etc.

I personally think the 1/10th chrono is interesting and different in a sea of other similarly-equipped chronos. Makes me feel like $9k is a bit more acceptable compared to the previous model.

Yeah, this edition is cute with the chrono track but otherwise not very interesting as a separate model. They should have put the paddle chrono hand on it

a chrono that only measures 8.7 second increments would also be “different,” and also strangely useless

Just give me a regular chrono I can use to time pasta and toddler timeouts!

Hah true, and that's a good point, but the Zenith does measure full seconds and minutes - see the two 60-increment subdials. I don't think it's as useless as it might first appear

I ordered this one. In my opinion, the black inner track was too harsh in comparison to the rest of the dial. This one solves that beautifully.

that’s fair.

my UG has a 15min totalizer which, beyond tracking general minute elapsed increments, isn’t a particularly useful unit of time (apparently it once had pilot utility if some sort) - but having an accurate 60 second central sweep and hours totalizer is helpful.

that said, for timing eggs/timeouts, the zenith’s 60sec and 60min sub dials would do just fine - but there’d be the odd whirling of a useless 10 second central sweep to “deal” with ‍♂️

I saw that on horlogeforum, initially discussion by hf members was that the possibility to order via zenith customer service stopped, so wondering whether if they opened it again for this model only or also the Manufacture as well.

That's a really wonderful presentation, I'm still not into the watch as a separate variant but it sure seems like it'd be fun to buy one 😀

As a Zenith fan with 2 of the regular configuration El Primeros (3019 and 400), I quite like the 1/10 variation that the new Chronomaster Sport offers. I don't think many of us use the chrono features that often and most likely, when we do it is for something that requires far less precision than the watch affords. The same can be said for water resistance.

For those who prefer the traditional second sweep hand, Zenith offers an incredible number of choices.
