    Hi there, new to OF!

Really enjoying the collective wisdom of everyone.

Came across this Zelico chronograph on chrono24 (pic below)

Does anyone know much about the history of Zelico watches? Thanks in advance!

    Nothing in Mikrolisk or Ranfft.

Those are rather old-fashioned pushers to go with a Valjoux 7733 movement (1969-1978). 3 minute phone-call duration markers for the minutes subdial are also rather old-fashioned for the 1970s. The télémètre scale is in kilometres so probably intended for European market. The 45 minute counter is unusual for a 7733, but was available.

That is a remarkably clean dial, I'd expect a bit of spotting. "Trinidad Gaytan" seems to be a reasonably common name in USA / Caribbean so I'd look for a personal connection for the engraving on the case-back rather than the isle of Trinidad. Could still be a connection with the French-speaking Caribbean though.

Anything in working condition with 7733 is worth a few hundred cowrie shells, at the quoted price I'd pass.
