Your thoughts on this Genève model please

I think you’re right to the extent that the late 60s/early 70s models are perceived as being less desirable than the Seamasters from the same period and, when I first started on Omega they were less expensive despite having the same movements but, in recent times, they’ve become more collectible and more expensive. Although you can still find reasonable deals, these .041s have crept up in price.
Good to know. I wondered when, as a collector, I would start to undervalue my collection. Apparently today’s the day 😀

This ones polished as well, I take it? There’s no photo of the movements, which puts me off.

Welcome to the forum @Nofret, I don’t know much if anything about Omega - but I find this Deville quite charming.
Gentlemen any thoughts on whether this Deville is good, aside from the fact it’s a ladies watch ? 😉
Dial looks original to me but I know so little.

It's OK for what it is. A step up would be the vintage Ladymatic.

They’re all going up in price although I’m not altogether sure if they’ll increase in value at the same rate 😉

When the seller of that Longines logs back on, there will no doubt be quite a few PMs. I know I sent one!

Thanks! I’d be interested in learning more about this particular de ville as well. It has the scratch.. and it has no history and no photos from the movements. Seller would be willing to have it opened by her watch maker. I’m glad she doesn’t attempt to open it herself. ;-) It sells for about $260.

I used to work as a curator in a well known Swiss history history museum. We had one of Einstein’s pocket watches on display. It was the first vintage Longines I held in my hands (with gloves of course 😉). Fell in love instantly.

I was thinking the same. Thus did not buy it. Offered $150 which was apparently not enough. Well, I’m in no rush.

The alignment of several lume dots is off. The Omega logo looks incorrect, as does the font. It is a redial IMHO. The case is polished, as well. Avoid this.

Plus the clincher that "Swiss Made" is in the wrong place.

Are you sure?
This is one of mine

And on the assumption we're still talking about the original watch, I googled a few random 136.070s looking at the location of 'Swiss Made'.
